Man, of course it's Eli Blue. He does the same thing in PVP for months now. Still not banned. He doesn't even TRY to be subtle with it, everyone knows he's doing it. Still here!

I mean, after a while, you can't even be mad at the guy anymore. It just becomes amusing to see what he'll do next without being banned.

I don't think there was ever a reason to be made at him specifically anyways. He's an activist showing how bad this game is at handling these issues.

It's ironic. If SE was on top of these issues you probably wouldn't be on these forums, considering openly encouraging and condoning the use of third party plugins is just as much against the ToS as actually using them is.

I would absolutely love for you to show me where I encouraged or condoned third party usage, me saying I dont care if people do solo lobbies or even use what you showed on that video is not directly condoning, I actually just dont care because this event is an absolute bugged mess, mixed with absolute terrilble netcode and server tick, making it impossible for people like me that are from the EU and play on NA to even get any win at all, I personally dont care about the achievement, but for those that do, it's their only way to get the wins and I dont blame them.

If the issues I mentioned were not present, my opinion on this would be much different and I would gladly condemn it.

In that thread you defended cheating multiple times, pushing the blame onto SE directly. It wasn't for lack of caring, it was always, "This event is bad, therefore anything should be allowed." It was a discussion lasting about 4-5 posts long between us on page 4. You will obviously deny this, and unfortunately I didn't have the hindsight to screenshot our discussion.

I'm sure other people can vouch for it, but you'll fight against it either way.

I actually agreed with that post you just showed and I said I would do the same because of the same issues that person mentioned, aka I'd turn a blind eye and wouldnt care, and I still stand by this now, as I mentioned just now, I will gladly condemn it once those issues are fixed.

Being on a different continent should not mean you are entirely excluded from winning a limited time event or reaching an achievement for it.

Do I think what is happening is bad ? Absolutely

Do I think it could have been avoided ? Yes, if SE fixed their netcode issues and the server tick problems and also fixed other mentioned issues on the forums regarding the event, it would have been.

It's just too easy to call out "muh bad cheaters" when the system was unfair from day 1, technically, someone closer to the NA servers is literally cheating compared to someone on the other side of the US, in South America or in the EU in regards to NA worlds.

And to expand on what I mean, this entire event is an absolute joke, the fact only one person wins out of 23 (no 2nd or 3rd place and such) WILL by default encourage people to cheat/use exploits, that's just how it is, that aint me condoning it, I am just saying that this game mode is made that way, it's "win or lose", there's no "you placed 2nd, here's X as reward".

There are so many issues with the fairness of this gamemode, even aside of the netcode and server tick, that this was bound to happen under these conditions, it just was, this entire event is a mess and in all honesty is a complete failure.

Update: Yes, yes. You've been saying most of that since the beginning, but it does not change the fact that you were overly aggressive about the cheating earlier on and you actively defended someone's comments stating that cheating was alright.

It's a shame, because right now you're attempting to appear very reasonable, and many, many people will fall for this, but give it time and you'll be back to your old opinions again.

Edit: Have some logic. Storm admits that said discussion took place. We know the forum mods removed the post. Why would they do so? Naturally they'd remove my response to the post that stated that it was okay to cheat as I had quoted that post. They had no obligations to remove my discussion with Stormpeaks though. They don't remove posts casually discussing the ToS really. It's likely they removed the entire discussion because Stormpeaks was defending the cheating and breaking the ToS due to their usual stance of SE not doing enough for the game. Regardless of how Storm believes it came out, it was clearly supported ToS violations, and therefore removed.

It aint about it being alright, as I said multiple times I dont condone it, but I can understand why people do it, it's actually that simple, it aint about me saying "woooooooo use it guys it's amazing and easy !!!", it's about saying "this game mode is absolutely unfair and I understand why they do it, even more so if they are in a different region/continent than the servers they play on (like myself).

It's a shame, because right now you're attempting to appear very reasonable, and many, many people will fall for this, but give it time and you'll be back to your old opinions again.

What "old opinion" ? lol, this has been my opinion since day 1 of this event when I saw it turn from fun to an actual mess in the first 2 hours.

I do not care about any of the achievements in this game, they are absolutely worthless really, but yes, I personally dont care if they do it, that's my personal opinion.
