Update: Yes, yes. You've been saying most of that since the beginning, but it does not change the fact that you were overly aggressive about the cheating earlier on and you actively defended someone's comments stating that cheating was alright.

It's a shame, because right now you're attempting to appear very reasonable, and many, many people will fall for this, but give it time and you'll be back to your old opinions again.

Edit: Have some logic. Storm admits that said discussion took place. We know the forum mods removed the post. Why would they do so? Naturally they'd remove my response to the post that stated that it was okay to cheat as I had quoted that post. They had no obligations to remove my discussion with Stormpeaks though. They don't remove posts casually discussing the ToS really. It's likely they removed the entire discussion because Stormpeaks was defending the cheating and breaking the ToS due to their usual stance of SE not doing enough for the game. Regardless of how Storm believes it came out, it was clearly supported ToS violations, and therefore removed.

Also you clearly don't look at old threads often. Any mention of 3rd party tools generally does get deleted over time since wouldn't you know it, it's against TOS.
I mean I've had multiple of my own posts deleted that were harmless so it's really not all too much of a "gotcha!" moment.

Anyone who is caught cheating, should be banned. Do I have faith that CBU3 can actually do that? Not really.
How do you design a contest and have, on the parcel delivery map, the parcels and delivery zones interactive before the map starts? Surely, you would have the pickup/dropoff zones active only after the round starts?
Surely, you would have defined zones and, if you are out of bounds, you get kicked from the round? Surely, there must be some way to go... huh, this character position isn't valid, something is off.
But, this whole mess is on CBU3. They programmed this and set up the environment. So, to that point of Stormpeaks view, I can't say I disagree. And now, no doubt, some players who are cheating are just trying to level the playing field. I don't blame them as much as I blame CBU3.

I just dont get it why?? Why arent the traps active from start? Why can you even just fly? Why doesnt the server auto ban everyone moving before the start?? We others see if someone does that... so the server sees it, the client takes the info as well and they go "oh sure hes up there in the air, not walking but levitating towards the goal, before everyone should be able to move, clearing 10+ seconds before its physically possible... WE SEE NO PROBLEM THERE."


Tbh i might not even add such things and just wait a few weeks while logging everyone doing that and THEN ban all the cheaters, permanently.

It would not stop em but some might reconsider if they can never know if a hack is safe...


I just cant wrap my head around it, thats not even anti-cheat, just common sense...

Meanwhile, there's this endless slew of shallow mobile games that let you just jump in and have fun without wasting 300 hours of your life first, AND you can play them anywhere, anytime! To add to this, most MMOs that exist nowadays suck ass, and there aren't many more on the horizon because they're expensive to produce and perceived as a risky investment.

I still think if you dont like having this much story now, youre just on the wrong game... id love to replay it all over now, but ACTUALLY replay it, not the speedrun a new player nowadays has.

And neither experts not raids are everything. theres so much other roulettes you could do... if only they'd have been smart enough to either make an easy lv 50 roulette version of the coil or just turning castrum into an raid, so you dont have to wait til Alexander...


I do believe its not all that great to want "ALL THE PLAYERS" in your game as the bigger your masses are, the more spread out the wishes and desires become, the less you can fulfill em.

May have actually seen a bot earlier. Got the level with the vanishing blanks, reached the finish. Stood there and watched a Lala run up too a platform, platform vsnished and Lala ran off the edge. Lala respawns and continues to make the same mistake, platform vanishing and the lala just running blindly off the edge.

I do not condone cheating, HOWEVER, 14 should be a client side game and the server tick rate needs to be tuned higher again for content like the falll guys events to not be so ass people cheat.

I agree the cheating is happening because the servers are bad. Most people take the L, farm the first 2 stages, get their rewards and move on. But if someone wants that ridiculous title and has literally no other (better) games to play, they will solo lobby or cheat to get it.

Honestly... if they aren't going to ban the majority of the people installing or using 3rd party tools then just do something to mess with them. Like flagging the account so that all current and future characters on it have those FF16 facial brands which are visible to everyone in game...
