He uses a twinblade, that is literally zidane from IX, looks good
hope they do Wakka (Blitzballer) as ranged dps too.

I mean it could have the same design as Reaper but that's just doomposting.
It's just as likely that it is similar to BLM switching stances, or dragoon maintaining blood of the dragon etc etc. Maybe a mix of both !
I'm pretty dang excited, even with the little information we have to go off of. I am pretty bummed out by the unimaginative people out there that see two swords and can only seem to think "It's just Ninja with turned around sword". Even if the weapons are similar, so what? As long as the jobs play completely differently, I don't see the issue. Y'all would completely burst into flames playing something like GW2, I imagine. I figure y'all'll be eating your words as we actually see more of their abilities.
Viper is a little bit of an insult to NIN which is supposed to be the actual dual wield job of the game. They had many other options to add.
I wish auto-attacks felt more powerful and interesting.
How the heck is that an insult to nin lol.
We didn't even see the auto attacks, bro put down the bottle
Isn't the real insult to ninja that despite the class fantasy being a dual wielder, they don't actually use the off-hand item slot? After all I would be surprised if they ever let a combat job that wasn't paladin use it and it wasn't just for shields. There is white and black mage, but we all know they gave up with them in ARR in letting them use the off-hand slot.
I honestly expect viper's weapons to be like ninja's weapons, in that its one item in the primary slot, so no mix-n-matching using the off-hand item slot.
You're actually quite right. There are so many ways they could make NIN so much better, which doiesn't mean the job is bad, before adding another dual wielder which means looks like the true dualwielder of the game.Isn't the real insult to ninja that despite the class fantasy being a dual wielder, they don't actually use the off-hand item slot? I liked the job reveal and thought it was pretty cool. I've wanted a dual wield job that didn't use ninjutsu ever since Ninja came out. Didn't get to see too much quite yet enough to know what they mean by technical DPS, but hopefully that means it'll have a little skill required to operate it. But either way I'd play it.
Viper for me looks like they took old drk dark arts and put it on ninja. Press button and enhance next ability with some stuff like dot or bla bla bla. Maybe it also gets old blood weapon as a 1 min cd. So in short it doesn’t hype me up much. Atleast reaper looked cool in the trailer. This looks like the edgy ninja brother that studied the blades
brown cloak and weapon from palace of the dead and i can play as a jedi/sith. thats all what iam currently excited about. The small preview of the class hasnt hyped me that much ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
