There is nothing "fair" about being agaisnt 300 people in a housing lottery.

I'd find it more fair to be agaisnt 20 bots at a placard than to be agaisnt 300 people

but hey to each their own as I said, some people just love to lose.

Actually that's nothing but fair since it's 100% random on who gets it. Which is actually more fair because bots will beat you in the clicking game every time. What people were asking for when they thought random was "I only have to bid against one to two people" The reality was a lottery system was always going to be a lot more accessible to the players. And the more competition they have now the lower their chances were going to be to win a plot. The devs didn't create this solution, the players on the forum themselves were the one who really championed the lottery idea and the developers gave the community what they asked for.

Solowing is right. Lottery is absolutely fair and it DID make housing more accessible to players. Mao was major proponent for lottery buts Mao wasn't kidding self. Mao knew Mao chances of winnings house would go down. In Mao mind though, this was not abouts Mao getting house. This was abouts making system fair for EVERYONE. Mao already accepted fact that Mao chances would be worse. Lottery period after lottery period came and went. Mao participated in thems all. Mao sad that Mao nots has house but Mao was glad that system was fair. Then one day Mao gots lucky and now Mao has house. All Mao can say to those who want house is keep trying. Maybe one day SE will add more wards or new city districts or instanced houses. Until then, if wants house, just keep participating in lottery. Maybe will gets lucky.
