Yes, really. What does a gunbreaker do? "Breaks guns"? What immediate connection does that have to a gunblade, assuming you know what a gunblade even is?

We're used to it now as a term, and had it presented to us when we were already anticipating to hear what a gunblade user would be called. But to an outsider, it's opaque and suggests nothing. If you want to play concept association as loose as "two terms with the word gun in them" – neither of them being real words outside of a Final Fantqsy context – then prettymuch anything goes.

And yes, I am calling you out on sweeping aside the example that disproves your argument as simply "a stretch". What about the term "warrior" (or marauder before it) should unquestionably call "heavyweight axe-wielder" to mind over any other kind of warrior?
