I honestly do hope you find a game you enjoy more, but if this game is still worth your sub money (which it currently is, you're here), then that's cool too.
Your concern is appreciated and I do think Venat looks a lot better in that particular gif.
Though I do not get the impression that anyone posting in this thread is angry. It's simply a debate about a video game story, after all.
My curiosity remains, though - do you have anything to bring to the table that is relevant to the thread's premise? What aspects of Endwalker did you not enjoy or believe could have handled better?
There are a ton of things I didn't particularly like about Endwalker. But the reality is this thread is simply 800+ pages of "I like garlemald and ancients, I don't like Venat". The problem with that train of thought is SE doesn't care. Venat is good. Emet and company were tragic, but ultimately wrong in their actions. Why? Because the writers say so. I can write all the fan fiction I want about how it 'should' have gone, but that's all it is, fan fiction. At the end of the day you're playing in SE's sandbox, and I've come to grips with that, despite my dislike of a lot of their decisions.
Except for the part where a fair portion of the criticism is focused on how much of the story simply can't stand up to scrutiny, Venat being but a single part of that. A part that keeps getting talked about specifically because it represents one of the the most recent and flagrant symptoms of the writers relying so hard on feels to carry the story as to largely disregard reason and logic. Saying they didn't expect people to think so deeply about it is a copout. They're well aware this is a story-focused game first and foremost. They should fully expect its players to analyze the story up, down, left, right, and center.I honestly do hope you find a game you enjoy more, but if this game is still worth your sub money (which it currently is, you're here), then that's cool too.

I, and I think a lot of other people, don't care about Venat in the sense people seem to think. I don't really care about the ancients overly much either, although I did find their part in the story to be one of its highlights. I'd be lying if I said I give a damn about Emet-Selch outside of having found him a highly entertaining change of pace from the villains we usually see served up in fiction these days. What I do care about is things making sense. They at present do not. I'm quite confident I am far from the only person with this mindset.
As I've said before; you want me to think X thing about a character, location, event, object, etc., you show me that thing. You don't tell me that thing then show me the exact opposite. The writers have been pretty hit or miss on this for a while now, in my opinion.

Yes, many of those posting in this thread are well aware of that fact and have repeatedly acknowledged that they are coming here to share feedback with the expectation that it may very well never be read.
Some who took issue with the story happened to dislike the direction of the other aspects of the game and have left altogether. Others have remained since they still find elements of the game to their liking. They're not mutually exclusive factors and it isn't like it takes much time to type up a post in between doing other things.
I'm not sure where you're getting the idea from in regards to this thread solely revolving around Venat - or Garlemald - since there's been a great many posters with different reasons cropping up over the course of the thread's existence who do not necessarily share the same issues with the way in which the expansion played out. As it happens, a new patch recently went live and so that contributed to this thread receiving a fresh bout of activity.
I don't recall any fan fiction being posted in this thread, either - perhaps you're mistaking it for another? I do my best to source my talking points - especially when highlighting retcons and inconsistencies in the established narrative.
At the end of the day, the writers chose to tie the Ancients to practically everything of note in the setting so far with only a handful of exceptions. So it's inevitable that they're going to dominate the conversation where the story is concerned until the game truly commits to moving on from them.
Whether it does or does not remains to be seen. Perhaps we'll get more of a sense of that with the upcoming Fan Fest. I would have liked the game to grant more agency to various characters and factions in order to better allow them to stand atop their own two feet but it's a bit too late for that now.

To be fair, there have been a few pages worth of "EW rewritten posts" in the threads lifespan. Not sure if that is considered fan fiction or not but I know some would label it that way.

I don't know if it's off topic but is there any reason they don't make the raid or 24 man content MSQ mandatory? Given how Eden had some influence in the last patch, it feels like this idea to keep it separate is kind of dumb.

So original at least 2 people beat you to it weeks ago
LMAO. Troll confirmed.
Neither are any of the other characters. So we can just slaughter everyone like animals i guess. Great morality.
No she seems to just be a mass murderer. I see now why you are on her side. You follow the same morale.
That for some people the time line gets changed in order to save them why others are not important enough.
Huh? Hasejfß? What`??? WAhsofjas``?
It's so pointless talking to you.
Blah blah assumptions & stupidity from you again. Come back when you learnt to read. Funny hearing stuff from you when you can't understand anything anyone ever posts. Took you like 50 posts to understand time loops.
"Why is this topic 900+ pages?"
Will put you on ignore if you can't form a logical argument but argue nonetheless

The crystal tower was a major part of shadow bringers and brought G'raha into the main cast permanently. Unless we make use of Eden or start teaming up with Ryne full time again we likely won't see Gaia for more than a few shots. There would need to be a reason to talk about the Twelve in more than just passing conversation for the raids to be needed.
