Unpopular Opinion:

I like the current model because I can progress the relic how I want to progress it and not be forced into what would probably be old content to do it. I can progress the relic simply by playing the game, not mindlessly grinding specific old content.

Did some people no life it and got everything through a mindless grind? Yes. But that's on them.

Could it be better incentivized? yes.

Should they have put relic mats on specific roulettes to get people in them (read: Alliance roulette)? Yes

Am I glad I'm not forced into specific old instances / content to progress a current relic: YES

I have everything at lvl 90. I don't need roulettes for the exp. I could get a relic every 3-4 days by simply doing roulettes every day if I wanted to, and that puts me in the content helping other players get what they need. And that improves the overall game for everyone.

I can tell you this:

I did maybe 2-3 relics in bozja because of the CLL and DR bottlenecks. It sucked.

I didn't do too many Eureka relics because of Pagos and the ridiculous light grinds with RNG bullsh!t. They sucked.

This is definitely the best part of this new one yeah, it's so freeing to be able to pick the things you find fun and run those instead of being forced to run content you don't like for 100 runs because the step says to, or being forced to grind out 30 hours of an exploration zone to unlock the next part becasue they tied those 2 pieces of content together and can't separate them for some weird reason.
If I want to run variant dungeon or run hunts, I can. It might not be the fastest way but it's more fun when it's my way than hating the grind and just chasing the shortest path through content I hate. Everything at 90 gives progress so you don't feel like you're being held back on it for playing the things you find fun.

When people keep responding to me with "So what you're saying is [Thing I never said]."
It definitely calls into question their reading comprehension. I had to double check and it looks like you've also been guilty of this multiple times in this thread of telling me "you're literally saying" and then folowing it with something I didn't even say.

Maybe actually read the contents of posts before responding to your own delusions of what you think they're saying.
