IF the quest design continues to be a matter of essentially grafting the relic quest onto an existing set of quests with very menial requirements (get tomes, buy weapon, as it has been in EW) then no, I would not be opposed to them getting rid of "relic quests."

Honestly the better solution would have been to delete the raid weapon tokens and let people just buy the weapon matching the tomestone armor and accessories without it. Then ppl will have their "catch up" weapon that doesn't require them to buy something off the marketboard. Then return Relic weapons back to being grind content to carry player activity between content cycles.

Exactly if they are so committed to having an easy catch up weapon that requires no effort then remove the 7 normal raids/savage tomestone requirement from the tomestone weapon and make it cost 1500 causality, then they can go wild with the relic

CBU can take FFXIV in any direction they want. I can complain about that direction.
Except they will have the feedback left before the player decides to unsub, assuming they have said anything. They will also have information from internal metrics showing changes in participation.

You can continue to complain about the direction but what will you do if the developers stick to the new direction?

That makes sense. They could possibly add the raid tokens into the grind as well.
