I do not believe people would have "boo'd" Hrothgar at any fanfest and they won't be "booing" female Hrothgar either. It feels like there's a fair amount of interest in them in comparison to the males at the moment. I was at fanfest in Vegas this year and the energy is really not one conducive to booing the developers.

As for the rest, yeah, Viera (and male Viera) were passionately requested by the playerbase because they're easily the oldest and most ingrained in FF history fantasy race accessible in XIV. Lots of Tactics and Ivalice fans out there, plus Viera just fit into that sweet spot of what it takes to be a popular playable race in this game.

I hope we get the female Hrothgar reveal at EU, personally. I agree that it should be sooner rather than later. Would love it if they showed the expanded trailer including Krile in her new outfit showcasing the new caster job and introducing the new female Hrothgar companion.
