SUGGESTION FOR DEVS: Activity-based Credit System for Housing

Hey! I wanted to put a suggestion out into the world to see what the general feel is on an idea like this. Firstly, I want to mention that I *do* own a house in-game and play regularly (the longest break I've ever taken was when I went on vacation for 2 weeks).

Here's what I propose...

I think that the Devs should introduce a credit-based activity system that "pays" for a player to be able to keep their house. F.C.s currently have a credit system that allows for them to be ranked against other F.C.s in the game from an activity perspective, so such a system already somewhat exists.

For housing... they should make a weekly (or monthly) minimum limit to how many credits you must earn to keep your house. Let's use hypothetical numbers...

A Large personal plot would require 10,000 credits.
A Medium personal plot would require 7,500 credits.
A Small personal plot would require 5,000 credits.

A Large FC plot would require 100,000 credits.
A Medium FC plot would require 75,000 credits.
A Small FC plot would require 50,000 credits.

Now I'm not saying that these have to be the exact numbers, but they will work for the concept of the idea. Let's use numbers similarly to how FCs earn credits:

Doing a dungeon gives around 400 - 500 credits.
Crafting an HQ item gives around 200 credits.

This would enable housing to be mostly reserved for active players. Players that log in once every 45 days simply to reset the timer on the demo should not be allowed to keep the house. Additionally, "shell" FCs should not be allowed to sit on houses that aren't being used. Walking around the ward my F.C. house is in - most of the houses (large and medium) have no furniture inside and the F.C. has only 2 or 3 people in it.

What about players who serve in the military, do they get to be punished too because you have a narrow and small minded world view that punishes players for not being able to play daily like you do??????????

I continuously find it hilarious that people think their definition of "shell FC" is relevant.

Housing serves MULTIPLE functions and allows flexibility of playstyle. If someone is really into gardening and submarines, but hates the decoration side of the game, then they should not be punished. I say this as a person who only cares for decorating in this game.

People who WITHIN THE TOS, were grandfathered into multiple home ownership, or have them post 4.2, ARE actively using their houses. In fact, a lot of the submarine peeps go into their house daily, if not every other day. Their homes see significantly more use than people who just decorate once and then go in every so often.

If we're talking "active use", I find people who hire others to decorate their homes, and don't even do it themselves to not be actively taking part in the decoration part of the function. IF SE were to do some credit system, they would need an equitable definition of what "actively" using your home is.

Right now it's completely subjective in the community based on how salty you are about housing.

SE Counter Idea

Everyone paying a sub should have the same access to game functionality at all time. The fact that not everyone can access gardening or workshops unless they have a limited physical plot is inequitable.
Please give access to Workshops and Gardening via either the Grandcompany or some other means.
Decoration as a function is already accessible to everyone by proxy of apartments (with the exception of maybe Balmung) regardless of how jealous people get over how much decorating they can do.
If you had to prioritize, fix workshop and gardening access first. Also, if you allowed Alts to live in the same house, you might see people who are willing to condense the amount of homes they have down to 1.
