I will run ahead every other pull but only if I'm a job that has Arms Length. I want to be able to put slow on the mobs and drag them back to the tank. That way the tank gets soloed mobs on every wall to wall and not every other wall to wall.

Bloodbath and arms length keeps me up while I'm help mitigation so it helps both the tanks and the healer.

I mean yeah, there's benefits to it. It's just more so that the friend/FC guest is literally telling our sprout tank in discord that DPS should not be allowed in front of tanks ever and that it's okay to shirk them or single target attack so all other mobs aggro the DPS/Healer in retaliation.

I'm not saying YPYT is good but it also isn't good to just let people do whatever random BS they want because they're impatient and selfish.

At the risk of sounding "both sides"-y, they're both bad behaviours and sprouts should be taught that instead of making them believe one thing or the other is more or less rude.

The disservice is that you are making the community sound uptight and arguemetive while also saying its normal and fine to rush through things to sprouts who may not grasp mmo roles and culture/unwritten rules.

YPYT is bad but so is acting outside of your role as your unexplained and unexpected movement and gameplay choices can cause those around you to mess up and slow down as well. The point of the game is to cooperate and you're discouraging this.

I am exhausted by the amount of people who think rushing on ahead will somehow magically speed people up. You getting your dualcast or other timed proc off means diddly squat if your healers have to heal your ass (or themselves) instead of DPS or when half the party hangs back instead of attack while waiting for the tank to waddle on over.

I'm not discouraging cooperation. I never told the sprout they had to wall to wall or that it was encouraged for DPS/Healers to run in front of the tank. I just pointed out that it happens, and that you should be okay with it. I pointed out that you shouldn't lose your mind over it(like you're doing right now).
