Screenshots of a personal nature like that aren't permitted even when censored iirc. Be careful.I mean yeah, there's benefits to it. It's just more so that the friend/FC guest is literally telling our sprout tank in discord that DPS should not be allowed in front of tanks ever and that it's okay to shirk them or single target attack so all other mobs aggro the DPS/Healer in retaliation.
I don't want to air out my entire FC discord but I need someone to acknowledge that I'm not insane:
This was the person question giving advice the sprout earlier:
It actually goes on way longer than that but like I said, I don't want to air out the entire thing here cause it's a FC cord.
I'm not discouraging cooperation. I never told the sprout they had to wall to wall or that it was encouraged for DPS/Healers to run in front of the tank. I just pointed out that it happens, and that you should be okay with it. I pointed out that you shouldn't lose your mind over it(like you're doing right now). You either can't read, or you've got a few screws loose.
People have posted censored in-game screenshots/censored discord logs before.
From the rules:
Pretty sure it's fine.* Personal information can be defined as any data that explicitly reveals the real–world identity of an individual, and can include the following: name, home address, age, birthday, telephone or cell phone number, e-mail address, etc. Personal information can also be consisted of a combination of information that can identify an individual.
Did you come here to be argumentative or what? You're not even responding to my points anymore, you're just dropping empty threats.
People have gotten in trouble in the past for simply posting screenshots of eureka botters and other chats and felt you should at least be warned (as in for safety, not rules lawyery). The "be careful" was meant to point out that I've seen it be an issue in the past and my lack of furter debate is not an objection nor is it me conceeding to your arguement.
I'm simply hesitant to further debate someone who feels the need to trot out discord logs like a twitter debate.
If a tank decides to shirk someone and can't adapt at a high level, they PROBABLY should stick to Trusts until they learn to play.
You're hesitant to debate because you outright put words into my mouth that were never there.People have gotten in trouble in the past for simply posting screenshots of eureka botters and other chats and felt you should at least be warned (as in for safety, not rules lawyery). I don't know how to reiterate any better. I called someone out for teaching a sprout a YPYT attitude and telling them to shirk anyone that somehow gets ahead of them(or worse), BUT I never under any circumstances encouraged DPS/Healers to actively move ahead of the tank. I simply stated that it was okay if it happened and that the sprout tank shouldn't be so upset about it.
I don't know what your problem is or what I did to you for you to act like this. I can only assume you came here to be argumentative.
Edit: Removed any minor insults. You absolutely deserve them, but you're also most likely a bad actor attempting to bait out an angry response and I'm not giving that to you.

Alright fine. You're hesitant to debate because you outright put words into my mouth that were never there.

I don't know what your problem is. I can only assume you came here to be argumentative. You tried to suggest it was both sides when there really wasn't two sides at fault. You're acting like an absolute manchild and I really hope you don't bring these issues with you into the game.
Your screenshot exists only to dunk on the ypyt person and suggesting someone to talk first before reporting certain acts encourages them to bog down the report system. Additionally you put a new player's chat log up potentially without their permission to support a debate in a thread with complete strangers.
I will not take part in you trying to pin an oversized A on the front of someone whom you might not have even spoken to about this with and both YPYT and other acts won't improve if you don't speak up against them in-game and try to communicate first instead of aiming to dunk on folk or go scorched earth and report in-game.
It's weird that you take screenshots and post them publicly (potentially) without the other person's knowledge. Censored or not. Especially when nobody was debating that aspect.

That sounds like a lousy tank. If someone pulls ahead of you be it accident or on purpose...take it back. That's your job. To be the damage sponge. Literally no one gets to die before me when I tank. I won't allow it. Even if they pull more than I can handle I WILL be taking that aggro back and die doing my job. Wipes will not happen because I REFUSE to do a job.
When you deal with human beings, never count on logic or consistency.
Fluid like water. Smooth like silk. Pepperoni like pizza.
The only tanks that really bother me are the ones that do not do their job.
I generally play a bard or machinist these days. As such I am thankfully very mobile while still doing damage. I have learned to keep an eye on the healer after a rather large number of tanks who do not pick up adds or mobs that go after the healer. When That happens I peel the mob off the healer and run it to the tank. If the tank does not take the aggro off me at that point I will just kite it around until I manage to kill it.
No excuse for a tank to not take aggro when something is beating on a healer. No excuse at all. It is happening sadly with frequency these days.

I don't understand why there is always so much acrimony about "you pull, you tank." Someone running ahead of me has never caused a problem, and really only happens if I accidentally pop Sprint before a zone transition like a dumbass. I pull everything I can, as far as I can, and if there are one or two strays I can get them picked up before any DPS gets his face ripped off. Tanking dungeons isn't difficult, and hasn't been for a long time. I think the last time I saw a party wipe on a trash pack was a while back when I did a leveling roulette as a DPS and got The Burn, but that experience was definitely an outlier.
If you're a new tank and the DPS are running ahead, just keep going as far as you can, catch up with them, and spam your AoE stuff. You'll have the mobs back in no time.
Sorry to not contribute anything fun to the thread. It's just that every time "YPYT" comes up I sit here and wonder, "Why is this a thing?"
