Yes, let's remove one battle feature at a time under the guise of Quality of Life.
Let's remove job synergy, 'cause balance. Who wants to get left behind by meta slaves. QoL+1
Let's make all roles as samey as possible so nobody feels left behind. QoL+1
Let's make dungeons as bland as humanly possible so it's over faster. Wouldn't that be convenient? QoL+1
Let's remove AST's unique card effects (just to name a random example) because bad RNG could leave to a bad parse. QoL+1
Let's make bosses bigger so people can have more uptime or they'll be sad. QoL+1
Let's remove TP because it just hinders you doing damage. QoL+1
Let's dumb down MP because running out of it might make people feel sad. QoL+1
Let's remove debuffs because it's inconvenient to carry echo drop or use Esuna or something. QoL+1
Let's remove the last vestige of positionals because it's inconvenient to move around and my parse might suffer. I just want to stand in place. QoL+1
Let's make bosses brain-dead easy so nobody stresses out too much. QoL+1
Let's turn relics into a tome stone dump otherwise people feel forced to play. QoL+1
Let's remove almost all buffs and put the ones that we still have on a 2 mimute timer so you never need to think about it too much. Wouldn't that be convenient? QoL+1
And we wonder why the game is becoming more and more stale. Smh
This line of thinking is just reductive.
We shouldn't ask for stuff to be removed anymore. People who do clearly don't see the bigger picture.
The slightest bit of "inconvenience" is the point of playing a video game. Otherwise it would be called, I dunno... a movie. It doesn't matter what you think about each individual point. What matters is that the game keeps on removing features without adding anything back in.
Instead of asking for removing something how about we add something on top?
Talking about missing the forest for the trees.
