What is the argument against adding more reasons to do the content that SE added in EW other than to complete it enough to finish the variant story or complete it once for the achievement?
Depends why you mean by replayability. I would use the term to describe content that makes me want to do it again simply because it was fun.

If you mean "a requirement to do this an arbitrary amount of times to earn a reward" then that's not replayability, that's propping up content with rewards so people have to do it whether they enjoy it or not, and makes it impossible to judge whether people actually enjoy it and want more of it based on participation numbers.

Say that to the housing system, you're locked in buddy, he knows you can't go play other games and just "unsub till next patch", it's th crutch they know a LOT of people won't unsub for, it feels very insincere.
The housing system only locks you into being subscribed for a pattern of one month on, 1.5 months off. Less than half the year.

Or just take the plunge and let go of the house if you only want to subscribe occasionally. It's not that exciting to own one, is it?
