Please tell me how you determine the "tell" of which player this aoe targets to allow the cheater to move 5+ seconds ahead of time away from them before anyone else knows who the target is? Please tell me how! I want to know this "tell" you claim to know regarding this specific mechanic I observed!

I literally saw the cheater move away from the player who was going to be targeted 5+ seconds before the boss even changed the direction he was facing to the opposite side! Mostly every other player in the raid did not move for the aoe until they saw the direction change of the boss like everyone else. Yet you want to still claim that this was done without addons? Yea right...

I get so freaking tired of others making excuses for those who cheat!(Because more than likely they are a cheater themself!)



WRONG! He explained nothing on how another player can move 5+ seconds from the targeted player to the opposite side while most of the other players in raid only moved once the boss moved the direction it faced for the aoe!
Keep making excuses for cheaters...I find it very sus why you do!

Because I can tell you what it’s tell is if you stop dodging the question

99% of the people who have done those raids would be able to tell them the tells....which is the cast bar. If, by some small miracle, they mean the random player chosen as a target for the line AoE/Ahk Mohrn attack....the cast bar still indicates when it's a good idea to potentially spread out.

Lol, and apparently anyone not buying his story is now a cheater as well. Despite the fact I've had nothing but a clean install of this game since the beta's before 1.0 even released... Apparently visual prowess and memorization are now 3rd party cheat tools

It was a Nier raid. And all 3 of the first bosses from each of those raids has AOES that in no way could another player move to a precise safe location before even the visual or audio alerts are given by 5+ seconds.
Again believe me or not...it does not matter. The general player base knows these addons exist and to pretend otherwise is kinda lol.

My Roe in Hydaelyn, the copied factory bosses have commands in those raids that give you an idea on where the aoe is going to land. If you're going to go through this effort to look for bots or mods in the game, please come to pvp where it is actually pretty rampant.

Guess personally knowing when the cone may come and not be in the player dogpile which is more likely to be targeted is mod/add-on cheating.

Regardless of what specific mechanic OP is referring to, the main point is simply about using mods to cheat in general. I don't see the point in getting angry and quibbling over details. If it's possible to do that in ANY content, then OP has made their point. Didn't we just have an incident where someone in a "world first" Ultimate team was caught using mods to cheat?

Is it not just as bad to falsely accuse and report someone for cheating and attempt to start a witch hunt??

OP also said it was another tank and I'm definitely not out in Narnia if I'm not the MT. Energy Assault is also pretty obvious even before the cast bar starts and all a tank has to do is slide a couple steps over if they aren't out in Narnia.

Not that there aren't the things described by the OP. Just doesn't sound like this instance was necessarily an example of it.

I have to admit, I actually missed the part where they said they reported the player. My bad on that one. If you're going to report someone, you should be absolutely sure they did it. Another player simply moving their character normally, even if the timing seems suspiciously convenient, is not evidence enough to submit a cheating report. I would hope no punitive action will be taken against the accused player based purely on OP's assumptions, but you never know when a report might land in the lap of a trigger-happy GM.

but...seriously...do people use mods to cheat? yes, almost everyone knows they do. think the OP is spending too much time watching other people play and not enough time, you know... watching for AOE's
