Ren if you don’t want people to misinterpret what you said then don’t make every post you make 10285829103@581&275019185 words long starting with a sweeping statement that is only tangentially related to your point then clarify it 7 paragraphs later and then get annoyed when people only really care to read your opening statement

As for your seeming inability to realise people are going to reach a logical conclusion on based on what you imply that’s someone that I’ve just accepted at this point, if you say A leads to B and B leads to C don’t be surprised when people assume from that that C leads to D because you didn’t say it outright

I pretty much stop responding to them because they respond to 10 different people in there 20 paragraphs and takes 20 paragraphs to get to there point. It makes it a confusing mess when they respond to so many people and write so many paragraphs with so many arguments/points.

I'd ask you again to prove that I said I was personally attacked and victimized by Zepla - something you say I said - but we both know I didn't say it AND we both know you won't admit you lied and made it up and were wrong.

And for a person accusing me of derailing threads a lot, you seem to enjoy talking about me in the third person when I'm right here, derailing the thread by your crusade against me. I've made several posts now about the current threat topic and issues with the game, and instead of acknowledging those OR letting it go, you keep making these passive aggressive derail posts about me in the third person, telling everyone how much you're ignoring me. You're ignoring me so hard, you have to keep discussing me to other people. It's like an interger overflow or something.

Maybe you should stick to the threat topic instead of trying to derail in incessant attacks against me? Or if you really want to go above and beyond, admit you lied and apologize for it and then...stop doing it and yeah, discuss the topic that everyone else is.

Not to mention, ARR was severely rushed. They basically cobbled together what they could in less than half the time it took to make 1.0. Which is precisely why we saw additions they would never replicate again like a full job mid expansion (Ninja), three primals in a single patch and etc. A good chunk of that was already done but not functional because they were focused on getting 2.0 ready and stable. Heavensward was their first attempt at wholly unique content releases. So it's expected to have some growing pains or completely flopped ideas. They had no real idea what to expect from what was an essentially brand new player who, themselves, were still getting their feet wet.

From a purely objectively perspective, yes, Heavensward has the least amount of content but it's far more understandable why. Endwalker came out a full eight years later, with the game having more hundreds of thousands more players. People expect more with that increased revenue, years of experience and player feedback—none of which existed in Heavensward.

I remember joining the game just on the tail end of ARR, with HW coming round the corner, and at the time I felt very underwhelmed because of how basic the rotations felt, which is something HW addressed. The change on BLM in particular was like night and day (or umbral to astral.)

Zepla is right.
The funds are clearly not reinvested to innovate or modernize the game.
Some graphical updates and dungeon revamps don't address the core issues with the game.
Impossible is just PR speak for unprofitable.

And whatever assurances to the contrary are provided, I can't see the extra DLCs for 16 not having an impact here. The graphical upgrade, particularly for the characters, came across as underwhelming and somewhat plastic, especially compared to the original first pass shown post 6.0, and this is with a further 18 months or so of work on it. Although they could turn that around in 12 months, I've got my doubts.

You claimed in your very first post in this thread that you felt zepla was attacking you and the community that you conveniently cut out in your first response to me. You go in every thread and make it about you and always feel attacked and that your the victim then write multiple paragraphs about it. Regarding having people to meet up with, it's very specific to your case. With the current moogle event people come gather up for rival wings as has always been the case before a patch drops.

This is true, and I accept that.

Long story, but here we go:

In my circle we're basically 6 friends that have been in MMOs together for over 15 years, over multiple games. We still talk over Discord, but 3 of them are on break until DawnTrail- they're happy playing other games at the moment. This expansion is the first time in FFXIV that we would like to all play together, but there's just nothing in FFXIV that we want to do. Before the 3 timed-out, we usually just ended up doing like, 18 treasure maps. Now, the 3 just can't justify the sub fee.

Unfortunately, the 3 of us still in game already farmed everything we wanted from Mooglestones, and we tried VD but after 3 nearly identical runs despite choosing different paths (the actual "path decoration" being about the only real difference), we just weren't impressed. Well, one guy did want to go for the mount/minions til he saw you could just buy them once prices go down.

So, it's a case of we WANT to play together, but there's really nothing drawing us in.

Who OP is (another Gaius alt...) aside (let's be real, OP posted this to rile people up and stir the pot, not to make any serious or rational point, "her" history speaks for itself):

Zepla's snark at one point kind of indicates she's lost it a bit (so, of course, the usual suspects super agree with her on it...); when you attack people, you aren't criticizing the game, full stop. She very much seems to be a person in need of a break.

THAT said, EW is like the reverse SB. SB flopped on release, but made up for it in the post-patches. EW's release was fantastic but it dropped the ball in the post-patches. Where it needed to let us down gently from the post-climax high of the resolution of the 10 year story arc, it kind of just dropped us with little to do and longer patch cycles. It's the one expansion they REALLY shouldn't have decided to drop Exploration Content, and Island Sancutary, Criterion, and Orthos were thrown out to try and make up that void but have, for various reasons, failed to do so.

Part of this may be FF16 work, part of it is probably that they've also used a lot of resources on the graphics updeate (which isn't just 7.0 but is a work in progress that they're introducing bits of over time as well) and the revamp of the 1-70 game with Duty Support, AI, rebalancing and tuning all the earlier game stuff, and a lot of pruning and alternations to old quests, items, and systems to make the game more streamlined and "new user friendly" for people picking up the game. And all that stuff is fine and good...but it does expend resources that can't be used on the top end.

Indeed, I didn't even mention me being attacked in that post. Just a general "when you attack people, you aren't criticizing the game, full stop".

I didn't say who she was attacking, nor did I say she was attacking me. In later posts, I clarified this as her trying to preempt counter-arguments with a caricature. Also note I didn't say "the community" was attacked, either.

Note also there was no statement that I "came in and felt attacked by a streamer".

So I've debunked that I "felt zepla was attacking (me) and the community", yay! Are you ready to apologize for lying yet? OR, absent that, present a direct quote from me saying Zepla was attacking ME PERSONALLY? (Because there isn't one~! <3 )

After my first line (discussing the OP's history) and second paragraph (noting Zepla's preemptive attack), what was the rest of - and, indeed, THE MAJORITY of that post?

Oh, RIGHT: ME AGREEING WITH HER, or something close enough to be adjacent.

I said it was a reverse of SB, where SB started weak and got stronger, EW started strong but flopped in the patches. I noted it dropped people after the climax of the story. I said it had longer patch cycles without enough content. That they REALLY shouldn't have dropped Exploration Zones the same time they made longer patch cycles. That IS/Criterion/Orthos didn't fill the void. That maybe part of this was due to FF16, graphics update, and new player experience stuff, which might be worthwhile but cannot be done to the exclusion of current content.

Why are people putting so much stock in the opinions of a clickbait content creator?
At the start of Endwalker it was "FFXIV is so good WoW is so bad" because that sold clicks and views, WoW was in a slump in their patch cycle and xiv had a new expansion. Now it's flipped so all the content creators are flipping it around about how they hate xiv now.
In a year they will make videos about how "Dawntrail did it, how I came back to XIV" and people will eat that slop up like crazy.

Sometimes I have to wonder with the posts on here if people are actually forming their own opinion or are just regurgitating what they hear a streamer say for views and clout.
