Been playing ff14 for about 3 years now, so mised a lot of the events, i wish they would bring back the events i and others have missed so we can get the glamours from them or a least a way to buy them in game, and some new decent ones. thought the power rangers looking glam is weird and didn't bother with it, wouild like to see something like a sephiroth event where you can get his armour, hair style and even the weapon usable by a dark knight and samurai,also a vincent valentine glam, looked at the game shop and deffo vey limited in glamour things, some good ones and deffo bad ones, very limted on weapons, this is my first ever post, so probably someones already said these things

you arnt alone there is a nonzero number of people like me who think that all the rewards should be obtainable ingame as a baseline

its always annoying to see someone with a nice looking piece only to realize its a store or old event item, no thanks I made that mistake in the past im not dropping money when I already pay a sub.

They are meant to be temporary events with temporary items. The good news is that if you are willing to pay, SE is willing to forget that they are temporary and allow you to obtain them from the mog station.

How good of Square Enix to let us pay money to get items that were in the game

I don't really agree that game items should cost money on the mog station, but it is better than them being unobtainable (like region-locked retailer campaign mounts, contest rewards or pvp rewards). I'm really just saying that at least if you miss the event, it is possible to obtain them still.

Sometimes they do bring back events, though it can take awhile. Off the top of my head, the FF15 event, the Garo event, the Yokai Watch event, and the Dragon Quest event have all returned.

the entire game industry is moving into a seasonal fomo, battle pass, temp event model it seems and I wouldn't say 14 is the worst culprit but at the same time the events run for a while and give you a window to get it and well if I am paying for the game I hope that because I was there in the moment I can get that thing. I wouldn't be salty if someone had something I wanted because that's the incentive in some games to get players to play. Could they re-run events again sure...but I never expect them to honestly.

It's more like, "if you weren't around at the time to pay for these as part of your subscription, you can pay for them directly now". Nobody gets them truly entirely for free.
