They are meant to be temporary events with temporary items. The good news is that if you are willing to pay, SE is willing to forget that they are temporary and allow you to obtain them from the mog station.

How good of Square Enix to let us pay money to get items that were in the game
wow what a great company, should we thank them too ?
"Thank you Square Enix for letting us use our money on your games for items that were already available but you decided to remove so people can pay it with real money instead, you really are a blessing"

I don't really agree that game items should cost money on the mog station, but it is better than them being unobtainable (like region-locked retailer campaign mounts, contest rewards or pvp rewards). I'm really just saying that at least if you miss the event, it is possible to obtain them still. How good of Square Enix to let us pay money to get items that were in the game

From Square Enix point of view, it seems like "these are temporary events, but if you hand us some money, we're willing to forget that".

Some events have never returned though and still haven't been added to the mogstore. (FF15)

Oh I know it returned but I more so mean that it hasn't returned again and it's still not on the shop.
I'm not holding my breath. It makes too much sense for them to just move onto FF16 events for the purpose of marketing. Maybe if we're lucky they'll remember to put FF15 stuff on the mog store by then.

Just because it hasn't returned yet is not an indication that it won't return. We have plenty of precedent between it and the FFXI Iroha event that they have now taken to keeping FF crossover events on the backburner and wheeling them out every so often to drum up subscriptions, rather than putting them on the shop.
That inherently means that for the majority of the time, it will have "not returned yet", while having no reason to progress to the shop.
