awww come on.. I'm probably the biggest advocater of Open-World content on these boards, but I can't bash the earlier RPG's.. They paved the road to lead us where we are.
And along that road came some of the greatest video games ever made.
Bring Quality Notorious Monsters to FFXIV!

That thing people really hate about JRPGs in the first place?
Not many games use random battles anymore. Even Pokemon only uses grass caves and spesific buildings for fights.
And people hate Zubat.
Idk, I wouldn't say biggest The >.>
One of SE's finest decisions since Level Sync, and you turn on the wahbulance. Besides its not viable for open world.Quote Originally Posted by Triairy View Post

In the recruitment screen under the purpose section there isn't category for leveling, we understand the inconvenience but we have other tasks with higher priority and cannot address this issue with current system
In 2.0's content finder you will be able to party easily with people from other worlds to do leveling or raid dungeons.
Making party in 2.0 will be done by using below two features.
Content Finder
For players who want to join content or leveling where you just want to party and don't care who to party with.
PC Search
For those players wanting to be PT leader to make the parties or for those who don't want to party with players they never met before.
By this for those who just want to join PT to participate in a content or leveling can simply use content finder and for those who want to become leader and setup party you like can use PC search to invite and make a party.
Ok... now we can Level up with other worlds....? seriously?
Just keep it in the family! gawd dang!
Content finder is fine, just, no, this is going too far now.
Thanks for the translation reinheart
Well random battles are one thing but even FF13 (-2) uses instances for battle. hmmm
Besides I was mostly being humorous
Dev post on the JP suggests they are looking into trying to make cross server parties work in certain public area's. (although the way its worded is a bit ambiguous)

It seems as if the current PT recruitment system will be gone but is that correct?
Yes, the current party recruitment will be gone and it's being planned to make PT using the PC search and Content Finder to make parties.

If you read it wrong it says you can party cross worlds, I thought for cross worlds was for only Raid Dungeons.
We are structuring/looking into parts of the public world content where you can also cross worlds to setup parties aside from instances such as raid dungeons. Also the contents finder can setup parties depending on goals so it's also being planned where you can go to those contents to level up as the goal.
For Content Finder there are many specifics that hasn't been decided yet so once the details are more clear would like to introduce them.

And I understand that. And instanced content does have its place, it's just in a world where you can see and interact with other players, it's nice to observe others actually playing the game as you make your way around it. Helps to bring the game to life as a multiplayer world, rather than just a game you can play with others, and honestly, I think an aspect like that is crucial to having a truly memorable experience. But I also understand that we need to make the game convenient for customers and things like camping, kill stealing, and waiting around for ages for a party arn't the most enjoyable experiences.
There's a comprimise between the asthetic and the functional. We just have to find out what it is.
Don't do this se ; ;

I fail to see how running through lower level instances for some quick exp is a bad thing. Running dungeons with dungeon finder to level up your character in WoW was fun and gave you something else to do then just solo grind on quests. This only gives people another way to level up which FFXIV needs.Don't do this se ; ;

For example my monk was in the 40s the other day, we spent 3 hours looking for a healer, the rest of the party sat in town, while I did guild leves to pass the time some exp better then none. If we had dungeon finder we would of been leveling much sooner.
