Uh ... welcome to the gene? Sadly this doesn't sound like it's the gene for you from the sound of it. You're basically complaining about one of the core aspect of the gene that had existed since the beginning of its time, going back at least 30-40 years.


I'm sorry but the copypasted claim I've seen is that lockouts are a thing as developers for various studios are worried players will get what they want too fast and quit. That is bad for subscriptions.
It's not a "claim". It has been history proven time and time again, it's a fact and that fact won't change no matter how much you don't want to believe it. There were a few MMO that was released with no time-gate content (i.e GW2) and quickly learnt it's not sustainable and have to re-introduce time-gate.

So if you want to prove "your" claim, go ahead and cite your own example, preferably one that actually exist and not from your own projection and speculation, we'll wait.
