How long must I wait for a GM to get back to me about a report?

About an hour ago I was in a game of Frontline and we had a player who was spamming macro and sound effects. Multiple plays asked them to stop and they refused, we had a couple of instigators as well but in the grand scheme of things they are not as important. The moment I got out I reported the offending player for the spam so now I'm just stuck wondering if I should wait or go about my day as normal. In my 2 and half years of playing, I've never reported someone before so this is all new to me. We ended up losing the match because the sound effect spam distracted all of us and a few others in the match said they would report the offending player as well. I did leave extra comments detailing a bit more in the initial report but I'm not sure if they will still ask for more details. The only other time I know someone reported another player was when I was with a friend the GMs responded as soon as he submitted the report.

Additional information: Some people seem to think I'm complaining about regular callouts during pvp, but that is not the case. I can handle callouts, what I can't handle is someone who spammed sounds effect macros 20+ TIMES in quick succession because one toxic player seems to think they are in control of the entire match and is bitter the rest of the team isn't doing exactly what they want them to do. Note Red boxes are spam, and gray boxes are other players who didn't spam. Orange are the instigators and the green is an unrelated fc member logging out

Edit: I'm sorry if this isn't the right place for this type of post but when I tried posting in the support threads the forum kept saying it wasn't allowed.

GMs aren't allowed to tell you if/what action is being taken. If you hear anything at all, it'll be "I'm sorry you experienced <insert thing>" along with some other platitudes. Odds are it'll take them a while to get around to it anyway, assuming enough people reported the dude for them to notice in the first place.

Usually they won't ask for extra details if you've already supplied them with information such as time, instance, etc. They're able to look into it themselves for the most part.

As for your friend getting a prompt response; it depends on what the report contains. Certain words will get you their attention a lot more quickly. ...Or your friend was just really lucky. That sometimes happens too.

The main difference between now and then was when my friend sent in his report we were both playing on Tonberry during off hours, since then I have moved over to NA for personal reasons.
I know I won't get a response about what happened to the pvp tryhard if anything but wanting to know if I should go about my day or wait is what I was asking about overall. Thanks for the help in this.

The report will be looked at and actioned accordingly, but you will never be told what the result was under privacy provisions. Report and move on.

this doesn't really sound like a drop everything emergency, im sure they will get back to you when they can, until then you will just have sit patiently and perhaps learn to cope.

i swear some of you people act like spamming an emote is causing you actual harm, if youre so high strung over something that minor maybe turn of the internet and go back to single player for a bit.

When that emote is spamming your chatbox over and over again, it gets very annoying, very soon.

Spamming. Spamming is excessively repeating the same phrase or action, or otherwise generating an unusually large volume of communications. Spamming is disruptive to players and may prevent them from chatting, reading chat logs effectively, or playing the game.
i get its the slightest bit annoying,
    Try extremely annoying. It is.

, but is it "report then come to the forums awaiting retribution for my feefees" bad?
Try thinking of others and acting accordingly then. In a crowded area your "emotes" are disrupting a lot of people, so maybe.....use a little discretion?

if your going to mass edit your post just reply...

".use a little discretion? " like not making a scene over emotes and instead moving on with your day instead of pretending that moving text in a chat box is in any way affecting your health on a physical or mental level?
this is a classic case of "go touch grass" if this is all you have to be upset about then your privilege is showing.

GMs don’t get back to you.

I agree that the sound spammers are extremely annoying. I’ve reported some too and blacklisted several.

There is no point in doing numerous moronic call outs such as this:

    /a Get Burst Ready <se.8><wait.1>
    /a 5 <se.12><wait.1>
    /a 4 <se.12><wait.1>
    /a 3 <se.12><wait.1>
    /a 2 <se.12><wait.1>
    /a 1 <se.12><wait.1>
    /a Push <se.7>

And spamming all sorts of other sounds in between.

I am ok with the occasional sound to designate a new target or a push but too many sounds just have and effect opposite to the desired one: people just stop listening and are just annoyed and distracted by the sounds. Anyway most of the time, we don’t even know where they are and what they are pushing as the group is splitted because no one listens to the spam.

When you say something, these sound spammers tell you to turn off your system sounds. No, I shouldn’t have to change my settings just because they want to spam sounds and fill the chat window.

Same as for sounds: stop the disruptive behaviour. It’s not to people around you to close their log window because you want to spam. The log window is not meant to be monopolized by one person and has other uses.
