How long must I wait for a GM to get back to me about a report?

i get it, you would rather be a victim than actually do something to prevent it, woe is you.

But, thats not the case, I CAN do something actually.

i can report you and then, after you find yourself in Mordion Jail, a GM will be more than happy to explain it further. But.....heres the good news.

You can avoid all of that by simply being considerate of others and not flood their chatboxes with emotes.

It's even worse, the only macro and sound effect spam I've seen in Frontlines is from people who actually care about playing the game instead of AFKing, and leading the team by telling them where to go, who to attack, what objectives to pursue. Unless OP has evidence to the contrary, it looks like they got upset that they have to actually play the game instead of mindlessly wandering around and doing nothing for 10 minutes.

you clearly didn't read my post. they were not spamming emotes. they were spamming macros and sound effects. even if we hid the window the sound effects would still go off.

no i read it, just thought you were being a drama queen. anyone that has to come to the forum to say they reported someone, and virtue signal for a moral boost, is probably just as guilty as the person they are reporting.

◆Obstruction of play
"Obstruction of play" refers to all behavior in general that obstructs another person's gameplay. Below is a non-exhaustive list of examples of obstruction of play:

・Spamming
Refers to using chat (including Quick Chat in PvP content and emotes) to obstruct the gameplay of others.
Key Points
The key point to consider is whether or not the behavior is obstructing another person's gameplay. While the intention may have not been to cause an obstruction, if the situation interferes with the communication of other players then it can be determined as a prohibited activity. If a report has been filed and the prohibited activity is confirmed, a penalty will be issued.

For example, in large-scale content such as alliance raids or PvP, in order to ensure smooth progress, a player may present a general course of action to the entire group, and the other players may agree to it and act accordingly. In such a case, when the progress of the content does not go as intended there may be a chance the player becomes frustrated and spams the chat with unnecessary lines of text telling other players what to do even if it was already discussed. This deviates from the original intention of the chat and could be considered as a situation that interferes with the communication of other players.

Please note that Square Enix may issue a penalty in its discretion even if a report has not been filed but the act was found being conducted in public areas such as Say and Shout, in towns/cities/field areas, or online video/streaming services.

GMs don’t get back to you.

I agree that the sound spammers are extremely annoying. I’ve reported some too and blacklisted several.

There is no point in doing numerous moronic call outs such as this:

And spamming all sorts of other sounds in between.

I am ok with the occasional sound to designate a new target or a push but too many sounds just have and effect opposite to the desired one: people just stop listening and are just annoyed and distracted by the sounds. Anyway most of the time, we don’t even know where they are and what they are pushing as the group is splitted because no one listens to the spam.

When you say something, these sound spammers tell you to turn off your system sounds. No, I shouldn’t have to change my settings just because they want to spam sounds and fill the chat window.

Same as for sounds: stop the disruptive behaviour. It’s not to people around you to close their log window because you want to spam. The log window is not meant to be monopolized by one person and has other uses.

The satisfaction when you clear out 15+ players under 4s? Yeah, those callouts helped my team achieve that sometimes.

The fact they think that macro is useless really shows how deep the toxic casualism problem goes.

How else are you going to sync a DRK and DRG LB without joining a premade?

These players don't understand what that macro is used for, and yet instead of educating themselves, they call it moronic and report the people who are playing to win.
