That's a lot of Primal Weapons o.o
If we look at reasonable equipment slots that are unique per class/job:
Head, Earring, Necklace, Ring, Ring, Bracelet, Hands, Body, Waist, Legs, Feet, Shield.
That is 12 slots. For the 14 different class/jobs out there, that is a total of:
168
Let's suggest that there are two complete unique different outfits needed for each class/job (equipment for tanking WAR vs attack WAR is 100% different, or equipment between Healing WHM and Nuking WHM are completely different).
168 * 2 = 336
So, that is 28 completely different wardrobes that are never shared across any other role/class/job. Now, let's give each of those class/jobs 4 unique weapons each!
14 * 4 = 56
That brings our total to:
392
Now, let's say each of the classes/jobs/roles needs different food. Let's say 2 food per class/job
14 * 2 = 28
Let's also say there are at least 2 potions per class/job
14 * 2 = 28
That brings our total to:
392 + 28 + 28 = 448
448 inventory slots needed if we have 48 COMPLETELY different wardrobes. 100% different items per slot! AND 56 weapons! AND want to carry the food and potions for all jobs at all times (rather than buy when needed).
Even after all this extremeness I still have 52 inventory slots left (and this does not include the slots in the bazaar for selling things).
I do not think the problem is lack of inventory space ^.^;
I think SE is trying to suggest to us that we should not hoard everything we can get our little hands on ^.^;;;

Stop and think for five seconds back to the time when you were leveling up. You go outside and kill a monkey. The monkey drops literally 6 completely different items. Then you go kill another mob, say a dodo. You get another set of completely different items. That garbage loot adds up really fast. Now add in the fact that it is a massive pain in the ass to sell off your junk loot. I don't blame people for complaining about inventory space. It takes literally a decade to empty out your inventory. I sure as hell don't want to visit an npc after every time I finish leveling, not in this sluggish system at least. On another note, anyone here play any other game where you had this kind of issue with selling off junk loot?Retainer 1 : 150

You are correct that it is a massive massive annoyance in how to clear up or sell off inventory. As a crafter, I sometimes feel I spend as much time selling my stuff to the NPC then making it. I also no longer try to AH most of the items as its just tooooooo slow and sluggish.Stop and think for five seconds back to the time when you were leveling up. You go outside and kill a monkey. However, that is a deficeincy of the inventory control/NPC selling system. Not an aspect of inventory space. The actual problem (slow selling to NPC) should be fixed, rather than try to patch it with more inventory space.
I do not recall it being this bad in Vana'diel, or anywhere else I've been. Of course, back there, we were not burried under tonnes of loot we do not need ^.^;
Didn't April Fools end 10 days ago?

That's a limitation of the server and plans to be fixed in 2.0, in 2.0 it will be much easier to sell and discard multiple items at once.Stop and think for five seconds back to the time when you were leveling up. Plus we are getting drag and drop and more user friendly PC controls.
^ Drag and drop. Yes... YES. (Can I Have It?)
WAHHHHHHHHH i have more then 100 stuff in inventory that is stupid no f'in way :O
Well then you have to make some sacrifices. I'm sorry but your spring and winter wardrobes just might have to go.
Seriously though.
This digital hording has been a thing since zork. If they were to give us 1000 inventory slots a week later people would be right back to complaining about not having any space. I would almost be willing to put down interwebs that the majority of the people who "don't have enough room" have a bunch of random crap in there that there "Saving for later" or because they "Might useful eventually". I use to pick on my brother about his hoarding in xi. Mostly when he would gripe about being full and then go out of his way to get some obscure piece of gear that he would most likely never use.
Speaking of that now that he has quit I should ask him if he ever got any use out of that full set of drg relic that he got.
My inventory is a little fuller then I would like right now. but that's pretty easily fixed with a few trips to a npc or setting my retainer up in a ward.
