Exactly. If a post is well written and makes good use of its words, then I don't see a problem with having a longer post. But if you're going to make essays where a majority of its words are simply fluff and padding, then why should I waste my time reading that if I don't feel like it is worth it? I'm not here to grade student papers. It has nothing to do with a short attention span or an inability to read longer posts like Vel and DPZ2 are saying. I simply don't have an obligation to read essays if they don't have much substance hidden beneath the large word count.

Oh and Vel, I read your essay. It had absolutely nothing of substance in it. But I wouldn't try to lecture me about how I should spend my time. Statistically I most likely have more time left here on this Earth than you do, and yet you're still here shilling for a video game on an online forum. You were right about one thing. It doesn't last forever, for anyone. But that includes you. Instead of worrying about how others are spending their time, worry about your own.

Anyone can say things have nothing of substance. The truth is, most posts have plenty of substance. You may disagree with them, but then disagree with them, don't say they don't exist and are just long walls of fluff.

Also, you rejected my offer of peace. Four times. You're still calling me names in other threads and harping on my post length in this one, and you're still doing what you think is insulting me - comparing me to Val, which you clearly aren't saying to be flattering - thus denying peaceful coexistence. You literally told me you wouldn't make any agreement, kept calling me names, insisting I was being childish and that you were going to keep harassing me no matter what I did short of me completely changing how I talk and post and not defending myself, even as you continued to attack me. Even as I kept NOT attacking you as you made several more posts calling me names. Even as I kept extending an olive branch and not stooping to your level while you kept doing it over and over. And even after you outright said you would accept no peace and make no agreement AND called me some more names.

You're even doing it now by insisting I need to "let it go" (when you were the one that just mentioned me, not the other way around) or "write (you) another book" when I'm writing short posts now.

Why should I be a pacifist while you're continuing to bash me?

You made it clear no amount of be being cowed and meek would lead to peace. So if you see me asking for peace as weakness and used it to bash me a bunch without retaliation, then clearly you won't accept peace, or peace will be one sided of me meekly accepting your abuse without saying anything. So perhaps if I want peace, then para bellum. This is what you rejecting peace is going to lead to, not me meekly suffering your slings and arrows without a word. I'm no one's punching bag.

Seriously, I'm not even addressing you yet you chose to come into this thread to attack me here. That kinda proves my point, so...I guess thank you for proving my point?

^this is the crux of it, he has been proven wrong factually before and will lash out rather than admit it and then say he admitted to being wrong on something else as if that balances the scales

So have you guys. The difference is, because you collectively agree with each other, you won't treat each other the way you treat me, despite refusals to surrender positions or the like. And the times I HAVE done so didn't get people to go "How mature of you, kudos". It got people to mock me MORE. So that's BS collectively.

Heck, I can even just NOT post in a thread like this and what happens? You guys choose to talk about and attack me instead of, you know, the topic. Weird how that works, innit?
