I would agree with this if only for the fact that you're forgetting that Shb only real content was Bozja and even then that was just watered down but digestible version of Eureka with 2 zones compared to the 4.

They all suck anyway but Shb had less variety in its content than EW. What standards are we comparing with Shadowbringers?

"We" are not comparing any standards, but if you mean me, then it's tricky to make comparisons with ShB, because it was affected by Covid. Since covid is irrelevant now, but we still have same patch cycles, I would expect EW to be noticeably better than ShB, yet we don't even have trial storyline, relic weapons were implemented in the least creative way possible, we have no relic armor sets, we have job design and balance issues, and all 3 new varied contents have serious design flaws.

On a serious note: You have the option to play other games. And if you're unsatisfied with what this one puts out over some amount of time, nobody is forcing you to play this game/keep your sub.

In fact, the devs regularly encourage you to step back and take a break as you want.

TL;DR: Don't keep your hopes and expectations up, settle with mediocrity.

It's been really odd as we had Covid to explain the weakness in the 5.X patch content but EW has even less effort despite not having that as an excuse at best EW has the same amount of content as ShB just done in a way that it doesn't have much life after the initial rush leaving the game feeling barren for weeks

Square has figured out from 5.x they don’t actually have to put out content, in fact the less content they put out the more it incentivise the “UWU nightclubbing is content” to abuse and misuse yoshi’s famous “go play other content”

Why would you spend time making content when you’ve thoroughly convinced your playerbase that less content somehow makes you a better game because you can pay a subscription to be told to play other games in your backlog
