Agree as well. I play this game for the story. I'd be destroyed if I missed this because scaling ruined it.
I pointed this out last year when it was already ruining it. It's only getting worse.

The ilvl cheese in general makes the game very boring. On top of homogenous jobs and shallow RPG elements. As a healer you're bored out of your mind till you reach current endgame. That's how many hundreds of hours until I'm allowed to have fun as a healer through gameplay?

Sprout here, today marks my first month as a player, but I have been a fan of the game for longer. How easy the trials have been kills my motivaron to continue through MSQ.
Yesterday I did my first clear of Gordias; I was really excited, prepared myself and read guides on all floors, only to be disappointed that we could just ignore everything and burn through the bosses. Only Burden and Cuff didn't die super fast.
I thought Thordan was some sort of weird exception and Trials world be fun again after him, but reading how all end bosses, Endsinger included, are like that, I don't even know if the climb to EW will be fun. Besides dungeons, I feel there's no in between for people who doesn't want super easy stuff, but isn't looking forward to Savage. No one uses DF for Extremes and using PF in Excalibur for synced runs so far hasn't got anyone interested.
I don't ask for Story Mode trials and raids to be Extremes, just to be on par with Ultima/Labrahea, which was a really fun battle in which you still had to pay attention. In any case just let people who want to experience it enter with NPCs, at least they don't burn through boss HP... Thanks to NPCs I could actually enjoy the first trials and Ascian Prime.
I don't know what makes it so, but even running old dungeons feels more challenging. Yesterday I did Amadpor with two mentors and a sprout, Diablo was still strong, and we all had a blast, since Amadpor hadn't shown for the mentors in a while. Heck, even the final battle o RDM 60 quest was more challenging without being BS.
Then again, I doubt the devs pay attention to EU/NA forums. I really admire Yoshi P and the team, but it's disheartening to hear how they don't want people to skip "years of content" without properly keeping it up to date. The fact they haven't even acknowledged it kinda kills my hype for 7.0

It's a pretty major problem and makes a lot of even fairly recent fights underwhelming. It's especially a problem for new players.
I got a friend into the game and he doesn't really enjoy the MSQ, which is disappointing sure, but he keeps playing cus he likes to do content with me. I keep hyping up certain trials or raids and... they're all super easy now. Skipping mechanics and going way too fast. I kept telling him "yeah this is disappointing but once you get to endgame the game is a lot more engaging and challenging!" except... Now Endsinger can be melted. Even the first tier of Aglia can be melted super fast, so now, even if he gets close to endgame he's still not getting the full experience.
It's making the game hard to recommend to new players because honestly I wouldn't want to play it if I was a new player, I just have the advantage of being caught up where stuff is engaging and fun for a few months before iLVL wipes away any challenge. The thing is, I've got a lot of people to play this game (enough to buy two Twintania mounts if I wanted) because I genuinely love it and want to share that experience with others. It's just really hard to now because not only do new players not get to have fun in old content due to the ease but they also have to get through 100s of hours of story in order to get to the engaging stuff.
Kind of a tough pill to swallow for someone who wants to play with a friend only for them to not be able to play with their friend for months, Like cool, he just did 5 hours of story he doesn't like in order to unlock a trial we can beat together in 5 minutes.
It just removes all the fun from the game.

Made a forum account just to add my agreement. While it can be fun to burn through a roulette dungeon in half the time, it's really disappointing on things like trials (especially climactic trials!) to just melt the final boss of an expansion in five minutes because you wound up in a party of people wearing endgame gear. Endsinger's fight being so cinematic and story important makes this problem especially egregious--the final phase is meant to be very emotional and it ruins part of Endwalker's ending if people are missing it. I really hope they fix this issue--it shouldn't be dependent on party members holding back their dps in the hopes new people will see the scenes properly.

I was lucky enough to clear Endwalker just before 6.2 dropped, so I got to see everything in the Final Day.
That's no longer the case with the current gear iLvl. I told my friend to do Party Finder for the final Endwalker MSQ trial, and everyone in PF was conscious enough to stop attacking to let the final part play out.
It's an absolute shame that first-time Endwalker players have to do this. Please add a max iLvl sync for the final MSQ trials, dev team!

Totally agree, have a friend who's close to finishing Endwalker but I haven't been encouraging him to continue as much as I would otherwise because I'm worried about this.
So many battles need ilvl sync. I watched a stream of someone doing P5N for the first time and the boss was killed right before Devour. That's a major mechanic that the devs spent time and money making, but it wasn't even experienced. Yoshi P himself said during the TOP race debacle "why would we bother making this content anymore if people are gonna cheat?"(paraphrasing here). I think the same logic can be applied here. Why design these great thematic battles, if players through no fault of their own doesn't get to fully experience it.
