I'll do you one better, what's stopping someone from going into 90 content without their Job Stone?
I have the Greenlight to go into Anabaseios, Voidcast Dais, Euphrosyne, and Non-PvP Roulettes as a Gladiator.
I distinctly recall comments after ROG/NIN that they were never doing another mid-cycle job again.Remember, Yoshi-P promised us a new regular and it's been a while since there's been anything but BLU.
I don't like this single job and it's completely useless in dungeons and raids. And I didn't like the idea of a mob skill hunter.
I'm expecting at least one new single job per expansion, but nope. All we've got is the useless BLU. I know some people like it, but I don't.
Aside from it not really being necessary and wanting to push BLU spellhunters to play together rather than into trusts, you also can't rely on a BLU to be locked into a role and the AI probably wouldn't handle the tank BLU suddenly mimicking DPS with much grace at all.Adding to this instead of making a new thread.
If I recall, one of the reason BLU is not allowed into normal duty finder is because you risk having BLUs without their spells enter, and that would create conflict. I seem to recall that Yoshi-P even did a small sketch on this back when first introducing it.
But then why the heck can't BLUs use the trust system?
If one of the main reasons BLU is excluded from DF is not having spells, why not just allow them into the solo system with trust where it's only the BLU themselves that are affected by lack of spells.

Probably because if BLU did get access to an LB somehow, their flimsy reasoning of why it can't do Ultimates would be removed, and they'd have to let us into that too
Yes, I remember I was doing a MSQ roulette once, before the changes to those dungeons, it was Castrum, and there was a CNJ. I checked their level and they were 79, this would have been the roulette to get them to level cap (it was in SHB). I asked why they didnt get their job stone and they said something like 'don't need it'. An argument of sorts evolved, where I was trying to explain that they were just griefing every party they joined by not having their skills, and they insisted that, even in something like Innocence, they did not need anything except Cure2 and Medica. They did not seem to care that they were griefing their team, they were 'playing their way' and by the TOS, I'm able to be reported if I kept pushing them to get their job stone. Very backwards, no? I also had to, back in HW, do a clear of A9S with a CNJ (I am not joking), I was on AST. Synastry has never seen so much use.
So yeh, 'what if the BLU doesn't have all their skills' is a pathetic excuse, when anything like this can still occur
And yet BLU came out in 4.55, mid-cycle. So either it's a job, and that assertion by SE is slightly incorrect, or it is actually seen as SE as less like a Job and more like a Minigame after all?

Limited jobs was indeed a mistake, but the "Normal" jobs are not much better lol.....
They need to simply take notes from the current "Semi BST" in XIV.....NIN, ARC & SMN, jobs that can call beast. Notwithstanding, Chocobo companions may illustrate further how this can work if you want a somewhat permanent companion. In this case, a full out job is NOT the way to go imo. Rather, animal combat companions from a BST NPC. The NPC grants you to be a the ability to tame on any job, aka more companions besides the yella bird.
