They used to be quite good. Back in ARR I reported someone for having a very objectionable character name (Think WW2 Axis leader with funny mustache and a tendency to commit genocide). I was in contact with a GM in game withing minutes being interviewed. They even got back to me with the results and punishment carried out. Now? GL getting anything

I do agree with this point SE GM's use to not play. I personally got a warning for making an off color self delete joke about someone that kept dying to titans knock back.

It was even a known meme regarding drgs. They did not play if a player was able to convey a reasonable reason to feel offended then it is likely a GM would at the very least talk to you at the bare minimum.

That is sadly the norm as a game gets older GM staff is one of the first things to go. GM roi is not exactly high.

Considering one of the main recurring trolls around here has a habit of making threads about serious topics just to get people fighting, it's not really that outlandish, unfortunately.

Wasn't my intended purpose. Really just wanted to complain and vent. I don't think there's any way I could have set up any of the arguments that managed to happen in this thread and I'm pretty sure if I were in the level of titanmen I'd be getting involved.

I'm also just going to straight up stop posting on the forums. It's just better for my mental health. I come here a LOT less these days. And I assure you it is better. When you take a step back and realize most of these conversations are exactly the same as they have been for months, and that at the end of the day it doesn't matter what any of the 30 people who regularly come here think (myself included), you can save a lot of energy that would have gone into arguing with people over just about anything you say here.

It's a good idea. It's real "Stages of Grief"-like, your relationship with this place, and this game. I take breaks whenever my sub expires.

Once you've accepted nothing will change, whether that be with the game itself or the people who feel trapped within, it's really freeing.

And surrounding yourself with negativity is no good for anyone. I think it's been well-established how...combative, for a lack of a better word, things have been over the last year.

Like, people defending or handwaving abhorrent behavior is actually some insane stuff.

This place isn't doing any good and is functionally worthless, so unless you are the equivalent to a pig in a mud wrestling gauntlet for masochistic forum discourse, always take care of yourself first!

I think what's sad also is that even if people have legitimate suggestions or criticisms for improvement, I don't feel like anyone from SE cares or considers anything said here on our forums, so it makes getting overly invested - as you said - functionally worthless.
