    Wish list for 7.0:

    -Give us female Hrothgar
-More customisation for older races, the new graphics are nice, but I would like more face options and face paints
-Would like to get a tattoo as the 1.0 legacy players have. This is the start of a new saga, so having the option for current players to celebrate that by having access to a tattoo for it would be nice. It could also open up the possibility for more customisation options by adding a tattoo option to the CC and in-game aesthetician.
    - I would like a more engaging single-target rotation for healers (a 3 buttons +DOT). You can keep the 1 AOE attack, but having more than 1 button + the occasional DOT for Bosses and raids would be nice, it would give more engagement for healers when there is nothing to heal.
    - I would like more old-fashioned medieval glamour.
    - A bee mount.
    - Would like a job like RPR but as a caster. I enjoy RPR but being melee, which is a job fantasy that is not appealing to me, throws me off every time, but I love its theme and would like a caster that presents the same theme, but at range.
    -Add Blitzball to the Goldsaucer.

I just want the AST rework to be good and to actually give AST mains what WE want instead of what the devs THINK we want.

I'm tired of being told to wait for post-patches and expansions for fixes and increased healing requirements that are never coming. Healers are not fun in all forms of content like all jobs should be, they're replaced by tanks and dps due to low healing requirements and their dps kit is small for 0 reason, when in the past we had more options and handled things just fine. I refuse to play healer in roulette come DT. I refuse to heal EXs, I refuse to go into Savage, and I am boycotting Ultimate.

A cute, furry, bestial, non-potato, tiny race option. I don't even care if it ends up in the same boat as Viera and Hrothgar in terms of hats.

Heavy improvement to core game content making the majority of the game actually feel like a game and not a visual novel directed at lazy non-gamers that would have settled for an anime (that was actually well done though I'm sure most of them loved all the film/anime made so far including spirits within and FF unlimited)

Since it's been established no one is apparently allowed to have job skills or abilities that are different than someone else's. How about at least giving us better gear options rather than the current "grab highest ilvl then slot materia for whatever sub stat isn't capped by default then apply glamour" system via things like set items, and specific gear with skill augments, passives, added effects. This would also allow periods of horizontal progression where new content could be added without creeping the ilvl upward making acquired gear pieces viable in upper end content longer.

After all these years and adventures we should be allowed to drink Gerolt under the table if we want to... >.> (afterall... it would be fun to see how many adventurers end up in massive debt to Rowena to pay bar tabs)

Add a vendor in Wolves Den that sells the season pass rewards from past seasons for large amounts of trophy crystals. This eliminates FOMO with them by changing it to the choice of either grinding the pass for them, or grinding the crystals for them later after the pass expires and the new season pass starts. It also gives new players that missed previous passes a way to get the items. (stuff is all various cosmetics anyway)

Overhauled and more modernized character creator that provides more customization options

Let's be real, not even they believe that this is what players want. "Do you know what players will love? If we made another 3 WHMs, but with slightly different flavour! People will love that!"

    - less brain-dead time sinks for gathering/crafting professions, at least for people that want to have them but do not go all in with crafting gear on patch day
    - expanded options to farm relic weapons and gear that actually looks good and you can choose upfront
    - graphics/lighting updates should also affect character models and the weapons they use. Some fuzzy glow around a weapon right now looks tragic and is "invisible" when in combat. Simple "whole weapon glows very bright" looks way better in such cases.
    - remove freecure
    - rename cure 1,2,3 to names matching their role and function
    - WHM doesn't need yet another white bland dress and a stick...Check High Inquisitor Whitemane if you need inspiration.
    - Require job stones to ARR-based jobs past some level
    - more value from zone mob farming and FATEs (wherever it's alt job exp, some resources/currency).
    - more value from side quests and zone completion.
    - FIFO marketboard, at least for resources, craft/gather job orders, "help" board. Countermeasure the need too constant undercutting/automated undercutting.
    - Fisher as the poster job for 7.0

As much as I'd appreciate different silhouettes for the Artifact sets, they seem to be fixated on the idea that every iteration should kind of match the same vibe.

Unless they decide to go somewhere else with 7.0 (which would make sense, since new beginnings and all), I'd think we'll still get the very same variation of white dress for WHM, the same Baroque garb for RDM, Thavnairian themed outfit for DNC etc.

If it depended on me, I'd keep the iconic color scheme and just design based on a specific context like for example: "Hm, how a White Mage would dress in the Burn wastelands?" or something like that.

-Aymeric: he's spent enough time languishing in Ishgard.
-move glamour change notifications out of System Messages
-a separate sound notification for duty finder
-separate background music and cutscene music options

Take everything they done with Endwalker and do the complete opposite. Easily the worst expansion they have released to date. Shame too because the initial story 6.0 to 6.1 was handled well. Everything else has been absolutely shocking bad.

I doubt this would be very productive. Nearly all potential outcomes, decisions, balance states, etc., are bad; what would be 'good' is a fraction of a fraction of a percent of what's possible. Shooting into the dark any which way so long as it's not the same trajectory as Endwalker would most likely do worse than Endwalker.

And that's coming from someone who thinks that overall the game went to crap with 5.0 and has only gotten worse since.

Now, I do absolutely think that 7.0 needs to make sweeping fundamental changes before the opportunity (with this new arc) passes them by, but I do think those need to be deliberate per whatever new vision they take for the game, rather than merely reactionary (solely trying to undo recent gameplay degradation).

Are there some changes that should be reverted, especially with improvements to "solve" the "issues" those changes were meant to address? Absolutely.

Let's take melee movement consequent to differing AoEs, for instance.

One of the main pain points previous to changing nearly all conal AoEs into radial AoEs was that those who could not rapidly change targets would have to always move with the tank and out of melee-occluding AoEs respective to their target. As such, despite that conal AoEs had 60% more reach than circular AoEs, many a controller-based player found them annoying to leverage. The cost was that melee lost any sense of repositioning during AoEs, something that used to be at least as vital as positionals during single-target attacks. That greatly reduced a form of APM and engagement that didn't even require buttons. But there was a much, much less intrusive alternative fix possible for that: simply no longer require conal AoEs to have a target; that way they could be aimed according to player facing rather than solely according to player-to-target angle, removing the disproportionate penalty faced by those who couldn't simply click on a new target.

    Or take positionals themselves.

One of the largest pain-points for positionals is that what the player sees isn't that close to what the server sees at the time our skills are actuated. This is hellish in PvP, too, of course, but at least in PvP there exists some reason not to let a lagging player melee and enemy from what would appear to the victim to be from 10+ yalms away. In PvE, though, there's no victim of that exchange if we were to, say, move the positional check to a quarter-second earlier and then repeat it twice more each quarter-second after and count success among any of the three as a positional success. In that way, whether we successfully reacted to our visuals OR predicted what the server would read, we still get our success.

The other is the "bloat" of True North. While it ultimately offers far more room for optimization than, say, the likes of Surecast or Arm's Length as knockback-negation, its impact obviously isn't going to be as noticeable to most players, and most seem to feel that rather than the skill offering some new featural capacity, it exists just to apologize its way out of a core mechanic (those positionals). But, we could as easily just replace it with the passive that allows us to bank, say, 4 charges of guaranteed positionals, where those charges are infrequently generated per X successful positionals, Y GCDs' time, or some combination of the two (success and time). Whatever -- so long as it costs no buttons, wastes virtually no successes, and just generally feels plenty smooth. That would also make it so that, unlike the remaining actions you could correctly position during True North, no successful positionals wholly go to waste unless capped (with only one such free positional per 15 seconds or so, overall). Therein you'd have a less button-costly and slightly more intuitive solution that'd also smoothly allow for, say, Monk to gain back its positionals on most skills instead of having only two of them.
