Thread: 7.0 wishlist

All I want is Raids to feel like actual raids again and not glorified Trials.

They have the skills to do it because of Baledesion Arsenal, Castrum Lacus Litore, Delubrum Reginae and the Dalriada

They have side objectives in them as well which makes things a little more interesting. Yes, they have Alliance Raid but I would like it to be of a slightly smaller scale (8-man) just like in Coils and Alexander.

This is never going to be a thing because making a single room and a single boss in it is much easier and quicker to make and majority of uber Hardcore raiders prefer to be put right in front of the boss rooms.

I wish desperately for the Scions to finally be put to rest, we ship off catmommy to the first and maybe thancred too and the twins can go back to school and we can finally FINALLY meet some new people that aren't a walking pile of exposition and anime tropes.

That is my wish for 7.0

Hagakure is what allows SAM to realign himself, and it allows you to pick 3 GCD speeds - 2.15/2.07/2.00, for which you need to do 2/3/4 GCD fillers respectively. Without Hagakure, you will need to do fillers using 2/3/4 instances of Yaten->Enhanced Enpi. This would mean that you will need to find multiple opportunities every minute to safely do Yaten. Considering that RDM no longer has dps-positive backflip as part of rotation, then I hope SE learned their lesson and will not force SAMs to do same thing, but even worse.

Your whole argument is worthless cause if everything OP wants got implemented, the 2 minute meta would not exist so there is no "re-aligning"

Removing 2 min meta doesn't mean there won't be burst.

I have a wishlist of some topics that are less unrealistic than others, but a wishlist regardless:


- Put the 2 min meta down. Reason: It is the biggest symptom of job homogenization, and I hope they acknowledge this.

- Lift the armor glamour restrictions salvo Artifact sets. Reason: The restriction makes no sense, not just because the tons of cosmetic items allowing you to achieve any silhouette, but also the art direction of armor collections is not cohese. A good chunk of the fending items doesn't look like tanking armor at all and who gets assigned to what model seems completely arbitrary.

- Better apartments. Reason: If they can't (or won't) provide a fix for the housing situation, at the very least make the more accessible apartments more attractive with extra item allocation, option to make it larger and maybe a balcony?

- Another caster dpser. Reason: The role needs a fourth option, hopefully something that stands closer to BLM regarding performance.

- Merge aiming and scouting into a new DEX category. Reason: I just think that it would be more sustainable than just creating a new Scouting job just for the sake of Ninja having to share its gear. Plus, they already share the right side.

- Meracydia. Reason: That's about the perfect setting. We don't know how civilization evolved there after the Allagan torn the continent apart, they can literally go anywhere with the worldbuilding, and the Final Days could have changed something there, making a good trigger for a storyline.

- Summoner getting the rest of the elements with additional gemstones triggered by Phoenix. Reason: Despite what people think, I still have hopium left in me that they'll be able to expand the job a little bit through that obvious path.

- A more fleshed out world. Reason: Etheirys is dead. There's very little reason to spend time exploring. That's something they could take note from how World of Warcraft do. Despite the problems the game have (had?), the way they make the world alive is really good.

- Blue Mage being able to complete BLU Log objectives solo. Reason: I am actually happy with how the job works. I am not happy, though, that since the job is not everyone's cup of tea, it's a pain to form groups to run content, and we can't solo the Blue Mage log entries because it requires a full party.

As much as id wish 7.0 would make some big changes im not expecting much, at least with the base expansion. In all likelihood most of progress took place during the the development hell of getting FFXVI out the door, wouldnt be surprised if 7.0 is more or less done though, last push is usually just mop up, translations, VA/sound effects, cs animations, etc. Hopefully we'll see the much needed improvements to FFXIV come with the major patchwork and beyond, if the players cries haven't fallen on deaf ears...

You don't realign just for the "2-minute meta". Hell, it was more important prior, when we still had per-60 and per-90 buffs. Moreover, it's what allows you to open onto a long-lived add with Higan, for instance, or onto many adds with Tenka, instead of being forced merely to use whatever your GCD has determined you get at that many seconds into the fight.

And why remove Hagakure, of all things, before merging Shoha and Shoha II, etc.?

Your response reads like someone who has barely touched SAM.

In addition to making glamours work for any job (save Arfitact gear), I would also love for them to make secondary colors dyeable. So many gear pieces go unused because their secondary color is either ugly or clashes with everything. I would also love to be able to store dye in the glamour dresser.
