My monthly sub with retainers is $36 AUD, and a patch is 8 months, not 6.

Patches are 4 months, not 8 OR 6. Maybe you mean raid tiers? And maybe include currency then, because otherwise people will assume the $ when you use... the $ sign lol. I've never used the companion app so...

Major patches are every 8 months, Minor patches at the 4 month mark are still part of the Major patch or else the patch numbers would go to x.9 every expansion.

5 patches x 8 months would be 40 months between expansions, or almost 4 years. We are on a roughly 2 year expansion cycle. We only go to x.5. That's 5x4 or 20 months give or take.
