I understand Stormy now, so I don't personally have any issues with her, but don't pretend she hasn't given as much nastiness as she's gotten.

A lot of the vitriolic responses I give are to people either straight up telling people to quit because they dislike X or X which at this point is the most obnoxious response possible, you are providing no decent feedback to the person complaining, you provide nothing by telling them "haha you dont like island sanctuary ? just quit bro !!" You're literally just being a nuisance and trying to make the complaint/feedback invalid by just telling them to quit (to clarify I am not saying you're doing that, I am talking in general)

I give vitriol to people giving me or others vitriol in 95% of the cases if you look, and I dont see why I wouldnt.

My point was some people can't "see the forest for the trees" so to speak, so instead of engaging with Storm's point they'll proceed to ignore it and hyperfixate on something else/just attack Storm. I'm not saying Storm has been perfect, one of my previous posts in this thread even said he was abrasive. But I just don't like the whole "disregard point because of poster" nonsense. If you don't like the poster just don't engage, it's not hard.

As much as I appreciate you for doing what you're doing, you really are wasting your time, but thank you : p and for housing you can poke me in game at the end of the week whenever I still have an NA char I'll come take a look at what you've done

That's great for you, but for others like myself, respect is a two-way street. Certain people are quite aggressive here, are typically first to go on the offensive on numerous occasions. So they reaped what they sowed if people ignore and don't care what they have to say now.

Edit: As an aside I took a peek at some of Stormpeaks more recent discussions and this Stormpeaks seems fine to me. Wish I knew this Stormpeaks months ago. So maybe there is somthing to taking things one day at a time. She (he?) seems like any other poster so maybe I'm a bit outdated.

Removed my earlier content as there really is no need to critique her further for something that happened months ago.

To Stormpeaks: I'm sorry I called you a troll in the past. I honestly thought that was your intentions. While things can get heated and we don't often agree, it doesn't make you a troll. I am able to own up to something I said or my own behavior that was wrong, so I can say that.

This is a very good way to go about things. I typically try to be open minded to other people (not to the point of denying objective truth and reality, but as much as I can otherwise) but there are definitely a few posters on the forums that have given me a reason not to.

The kinds of people who react to posters like Stormpeaks have a tendency to react in a manner that far exceeds how problematic the original post they're reacting to was. (assuming it really ever even was in the first place) Perhaps the saying should be "you reap what you sow, and then some more for good measure"

Well, it's worth saying that this is at least something we can do here.

I mean, the forum of the game I used to play is so adverse to negative comments about the game that the CM/moderators will either edit the post, removing the negative remarks or simply outright ban the player who dared express a negative opinion in the first place.

It's on me as well. I can be very stubborn and takes quite a bit to change my mind once it's set - but I was being overly dismissive of what you were actually saying. It's easy when someone (in this case me) is doing that to get irritated. I am glad I understand you more now and sorry again for unfairly judging you for too long.
