You know exactly what the guy you replied to means.. They obviously talk about ffxiv specific third party tools.To be honest. Just having a program running can't really be considered breaking the rules.
Most gaming devices, mice, keyboards, controllers, these days come with software that could easily auto ate the game for you..
The GHub software for my logitech mouse let's you write an entire macro of key presses. And set it to repeat infinitely when pressed.. this could in theory allow you to fully automate huge crafting sessions (basically botting)
But for the average user that software most likely just binds R to mouse 4 or F to mouse 5 or changes the devices RGBs.
They can't ban you just because a piece of software exists on your system. They'd need evidence of you using it maliciously (according g to there tos)
