This may be an unpopular opinion, but just like radar signals emitted from a police vehicle that I'm free to receive and do what I want with... same with data that comes through my router. If a user wants to listen to what's coming into their network and analyze that data, they should be free to do so. Information out in the ether is not granted some special status that no one else is allowed to view it. That's the point of encryption.
With that said, I stopped raiding years ago and have zero interest in DPS. But I do appreciate those sites that compile DPS figures so we can get an idea of which tank/heal/dps are doing the most damage, on average.
