Loose threads of the Void

Arnt these just side quests that have Zero Connection to the MSQ - Thus, have Zero effect on the World?

So is Void Ark suddenly relevant to the MSQ just because Shadowbringers made the events of The Crystal Tower Relevant to its story?

Um... they all involve literal people from the Void. So we have 2 years of Void storyline but instead of getting Cyella and Unukalhai into the main story as they deserve, we have... Zero.

Instead of expanding on their story, explaining the choices they made and the devil's bargain they made with the Ascians we have... Zero.

If they arnt in the MSQ, then they (currently) have no msq relevance.

"Crystal Tower was a boring, irrelevant story until Shadowbringers retroactively made it good".

Why not give the same treatment to Cait Sith, Cyella, and Unukalhai? Why did we need Y'shtola to follow us into the Void again? What's the point of Zero? Imagine if Cyella replaced Zero, the story would've been 200% better.

To this day Im pretty....eh Middleground about The Crystal Tower storyline.
But Yes I do find it neat it was made MSQ relevant with Shadowbringers.

If they made Voidark MSQ relevant later...neat. But until then, I just look at them as side stories that dont effect the world in the MSQ

Just saying it's pretty silly to say "This has nothing to do with MSQ at all so nyeh!" when we already have a case of something not originally being relevant to MSQ being made not just relevant, but mandatory to the story in order to progress.

As much as I'd like to see Cyella back in action, she can barely wear her armor without getting winded, let alone fight. Had to dig through Garland Tools to make sure I was remembering that one right.

Basically Im not being jerk about it XD. But Again like I said, until they DO suddenly make it MSQ relevant in some way, just like Shadowbringers did to the Crystal Tower...to me its just Side content that doesn't effect the actual world or the MSQ. If they do later like ShB & CT.....neat. Not being facetious, it would legit be cool.
One of the things I do love about FFXIV is how some nonsense, or a minor plot point way back, does become relevant later. If the Same Happens to Void Ark, Im in.

But until then, for now its just Fun Side Content.

A void focused expansion, or Full Arc would be cool to. Its mentioned something huge is gonna happen by the end of the Expansion...so who knows

Congratulations on having an opinion! Other people are big fans of Zero, and find the introduction of that character 200% better than if they had done some plot gymnastics to get characters irrelevant to the storyline magically back in it just because they happen to be from a part of the 13th that has nothing to do with what we're doing now...

Just my own guess, but I feel like perhaps this would have been seen as too similar to having done that with the Light on the First in ShB. Could've become a "ShB was great because this was a novel idea; now it's just being rehashed with void instead and feels like a letdown."
