It's cause of the sh**ty matchmaking system, it's set up to make you lose instead of actually pairing you up with people of relevant skill in all of your matches. You're gold? Great now you have to carry silver, bronze and unranked. Congrats, you made it to plat, now you have to carry gold! Ohohoho, you actually made it to diamond, sweet now we're gonna make you carry plat.
Instead of consistent quality games that match you with people around your skill level, the matchmaking makes you carry weaker players in order to rank up. The thing is, if you're playing support, you're basically F'd. Also, if you win a game, the next game they're gonna match you with atleast one weaker player. Unfortunately in RANKED CC, every single player matters, if one person doesn't pull their weight, things can go sideways real fast. They really need to overhaul matchmaking to match you with people of your skill range consistently, regardless of if you lost the previous game or won the previous game.
What matchmaking needs, if it stays with rando's like it is, but it will never be made, is the one that other dedicated pvp games have.
You should get put in a lobby, then first team player 1 picks and locks in their job, then second team player 1 picks and locks their in, etc etc ...
And while ransu is being blunt, he's also not wrong.
Every pvp game I ever played, you have the same people on forums complaining about elo hell and never getting out, but every new season, the top players easily get out in soloqueue because they carry those games.
Even in other mmo's where gear also doesn't matter, same people always get to top ratings because they're good enough to do so.
They too have to deal with the same matchmaking and same bad teammates everyone else does but they do end up in top ranks eventually.
I don't play cc, I don't care about escorting a garbage can around and the terrible maps ontop of it, and I prob would get stuck in gold if I did, but I would not blame others or matchmaking because of it, I ain't got the reflexes anymore to get higher, I know this and I ain't gonna blame other crap because of it.
If you're in a certain rank in any pvp game and can't get out, you belong there because of the way you play.
It's easy to get mad at matchmaking (which does have its problems absolutely), but again, everyone has to deal with the same matchmaking, so if you can't get past a certain point, either recognize your limit or how you can potentially improve your gameplay.
See, when you put more detail there it makes far more sense but I would point out that you admit yourself that luck is involved by saying "Sometimes though you just get those bad matches with...".The trouble is that for some the frequency they get those bad matches can be just higher regardless to how good they are. The matching system and ranking system should be adjusted in such way that the rng doesn't have such an influence on people's ability to rank up. You had some good sugggestions I've noted regarding that. I don't get why you are so harsh on people who are clearly already feeling down but all those people calling for you to stop have a point and you must be noticing that looking at your old posts and seeing how your opinion or manner of delivering it has changed. It should only get better for all of us.I played most of my matches on patch day to catch the fast queues and get out of bronze, so ya probably 7 or 8 hours total. Bronze was easy to get out of. Gold was kind of a chore though. Saturday was the last time I queued. Got about 3 games in before raid. Should have stopped at plat 2, but I queued one more time and lost the next match and dropped to plat 3 xD. It is what it is lol. I should sit down and push to diamond, but Diablo IV has been eating up most of my play time lol. Just sucks knowing that once I hit diamond the queue's will probably die.
I'm not really sure what kind of advice to give though. All I really do is try to keep my deaths to a minimum and I use macros to mark focus targets and call to fall back when losing fights. Its up in the air most of the time, but if you're as pro-active as possible to coordinate with the tools you have it will lead to more wins than losses. It also helps if you yourself can secure solid kills. If I manage to get a pick at the start of a match I'd say about 70% of the time it will snowball in my teams favor. Sometimes though you just get those bad matches with people doing their own thing and running in one at a time or just simply don't use their CD's correctly. Can't really control those and just have to accept the loss.
P.s. If you feel like you might have something to repent for after all maybe as a penance you can put down Diablo for a bit and climb to crystal as a bard after all![]()
Bruh... how can you say somebody is right about a mode you don't playI don't play cc, I don't care about escorting a garbage can around and the terrible maps ontop of it, and I prob would get stuck in gold if I did, but I would not blame others or matchmaking because of it, I ain't got the reflexes anymore to get higher, I know this and I ain't gonna blame other crap because of it.

it sounds to me that you require a immense amount of luck to get to crystal! It's cause of the sh**ty matchmaking system, it's set up to make you lose instead of actually pairing you up with people of relevant skill in all of your matches. Because I do watch them, I see what's going on, and it's 100% the same like the multitude of other pvp games I have played.
One I used to play was smite, they had bronze players show up in diamond player matches for placement matches (maybe that still happens, I dunno), and the diamond players on that team would lose most of the time when this happened for sure.
But those diamond player would win more matches than losing, despite this happening.
They would get hurled back into gold when seasons ended and a new one started, and they got out of gold no problem, having to endure the exact same matchmaking you're complaining about.
It sucks, nobody is saying it's a good matchmaking system and it should be improved, but those skilled enough will get out of their branch and rank up to where they belong regardless.
Whatever ranking in any pvp game you end up at is where you belong, and ff14 is no exception, and being angy and immature about it will keep you there if you don't look at what you can do to get better.
well i can confirm without a shadow of a doubt that you're wrong and that you must lack pattern recognition. sorry not sorrry.Because I do watch them, I see what's going on, and it's 100% the same like the multitude of other pvp games I have played.

The way you act about this is exactly the same as people in fl who afk on nodes, you tell them to stop being idle and go attack to get bh, points and remove enemy points, and them going "shut up, that's a dumb plan let them fight".
Then get steamrolled after this, lose and blame spawn rng (which can be really bad, but not this time), it's actually the same level of mentality, and you'll never get better if you get rid of it.
