If anything the ranking system is far too lenient. I'd rather remove streaks and players derank to unranked even if it kills the mode entirely.

I mean we essentially had that before the tier and stars system, that was how the Rating System in Feast worked. The only handholding there was the amount you lost when losing, which was -5, -10, -15, -20 and -25 from Bronze to Diamond as opposed to constant of +25 when winning.

Match performance also added or subtracted a point or two from either winning or losing and dropping out of a tier had you stay below a minimum rating for five matches in a row.

I kinda miss that system.

Agreed. Wouldnt be the first time a games company tries to be quirky by changing how a rating system works.
