If you want FF XI , then PLAY FF XI!

I didn't say he wouldn't draw from FF11 at all, I said he "seems" more likely to draw from the franchise as a whole..

That franchise includes Final Fantasy XI. Also no one is upset, so no one "needs to calm the F down" lol. You just seems very adamant in believing SE is willing to ignore their last MMO, especially now that they can see people are truly wondering why they didn't pull at least the basics.

I don't? I'd like them to take good things from XI, but I don't want the same game.
I would like classic XI to be available is some form, but that's actually impossible so I have no choice but to move on.

What I want to see is a world with as much depth and style as XI's. I want long challenging storylines. I want to be overtaken by the lore and history of the land. I want to meet charismatic and crazy characters with a purpose. I want to travel ancient ruins and uncover lost artifacts. I want to come to a point where taking a visit to Eorzea would have as much draw as a visit to Vana'diel. Sights, sounds, people, culture. Let's make it happen Yoshi.

This, most of us who actually played FFXI have fond memories of the story and the world and no that's not because of Nostalgia, that's because it was actually good.
