No Pride seasonal event?

LGBTQIA+ folks are the ones who made this game popular. Over 30% of the game's population is queer. Why is there no Pride month event?

Rather it be year round and everyone gets treated normally.

We don't need to be like Blizzard whom says they support LGBT+ then disables their own event in select countries and made Pharah randomly come out as a lesbian because they needed something to distract fans from them cancelling their promised PvE content.

Then why did they dedicate an entire city to Japanese culture (Kugane) when there are more LGBTQIA+ players than Japanese players in FF14?

Because this is a Japanese game, this is not a Western game and also it works well with Kugane, and there is no need to take any responce as negative, they usually focus on bigger issues and content that ALL can take part... eg. the usual summer events and various holidays as well where some of it trades cultures.

LGBTQIAHF+ and whatever else group (ALL SEXUALITIES) is all put into one bowl and that is it, and nothing stops you from making a Pride Parade or the likes, so what is the problem?

I think you are inventing problems that is not there, and believe for self that you are discriminated against, please grow up.

I think the reason is because there is anti-LGBTQIA+ sentiment in many populations around the globe. Hell, you see it here on this very forum. SE being a profit driven company doesn't want to risk alienating too many paying customers, and that unfortunately includes the bigots. So from their standpoint the best action would be no action. As one person said, a social media post is probably the best one could hope for.

If it makes you feel any better, I'd never expect there to be a Black History Month seasonal event either.

Yup. Thats why when media groups do voice support for LGBTQ+/BLM stuff its almost always because they think such a stance are more profitable. Its why the second there is a hit of falling shares, large scale boycott or the wind changing to the opposite direction they will throw such advocates into the garbage without a second thought. All big companies like SE care about is money, be it from LGBTQ+ folk or bigots.

It's Pride month, not day.

And corporations don't need charities for tax breaks. They have lobbyists for that. They do however, court different groups when they think it will be advantageous to them financially, no doubt.
