My impression of English Forum

As a native of the English forums I agree the content here is mostly trolling and low quality. There is an occasional interesting discussion to be had. As others noted the in game community ir communities outside here are a lot better.

The official forums are hardly a place foe productive discussion, I agree. For every one critical post, there are ten tone-policing it, calling it "not real discussion", or passive-aggressively casting about for a moderator. This in turn empowers trolling, because when any criticism is met with this response then the most fun thing to do at that point is to see how weird your posts can get. *shrug*

Or we can have a certain troll making fun of people with down syndrome that isn't moderated despite reports.

Disingenuous to think a request for a moderator, something normal on most professional forums, is passive-aggressive against basic criticism of the game and not the egregious behavior allowed here.

Trolling is empowered by the lack of moderation itself. Not requests for moderation.

I stopped posting ideas in the general discussion as it was clear that general discussion wasn't as useful for specific feedback (general / more negative still is fine), the side forums are not really better just more peaceful lol. So now I just toss ideas here and there into those spaces and the few who care enough to exist in those spaces.

On the other hand it has been impressive to see how much control a few people can exhibit over the forums with multiple accounts. Definitely puppetmastery going on, limited job exclusive to the wealthy forum users. Before it was more a collection of like minded players, usually more of a white knight / heavy fan / lore loving aspect, but now it's Chaos God's lol. Blood for the blood god. Similar yet also different.

Too bad this one person has about 200 posts a day between all their accounts that they have room to spare for a multitude of posts like this- rest of us scraping by with our 18 to 20 lol.
