My impression of English Forum

Agreements or disagreements, heated discussions or not, Im still happy to have met you all, to hell with what outsiders think, if you’re passionate about something just let it out, we may or may not fight about it but I wouldn’t change that for any other sub-forum here because neither is better than the other, at least here we accept how messed up we all are, we fight and make up :3

I legitimately do not know how you can think this. Tribalism and the perpetual amount of absolute adoration/disdain people have for each other in and for FFXIV is kinda exhausting. It festers, in a way, that mutual resentment, like a feedback loop. Your passions aren't to be commended, they're to be exploited at best, more often than not ignored or mocked. It's really unfortunate how bad it's gotten recently, at some points I wonder if I hate FFXIV or the people tearing each other apart over it more. I mean the feelings mutual either way, amirite guys? Hahahaha.

If I somehow found out that someone I was talking to at, I dunno, Fanfest this year or something frequented the official forums/is a FFXIV doomer trying to fight inevitability, I'd just intensely pity and sympathize with them at the minimum, kinda like a fellow victim of a debilitating mental illness.

Eh. I can get behind Sassy's perspective. Him - or her - and I have argued before. But once the discussion is over it's over. In our case the thread was outright deleted. So I don't harbor any hard feelings.

I kinda just reset as I bounce from one discussion to the other. Ain't no point in hanging onto negative associations.

It's definitely different from the filtered, sugary sweetness you usually experience in-game.
