There is no EU only server just a recommended one... There are JP,EU, NA players on that server as well...

Right, where you'll more than likely see a majority of EU players on it. I didn't say 'only' or anything. But if most the players over there, including ones playing in JP of US, usually play based on EU hours, then.........shizam

But that wouldn't make sense....most companies have the power to bring down individual servers. I mean, I guess I can see SE messing that up, but...

altho I'm not realy butt hurt over the constant NA/EU prime time being shut down , It is a fact that they rotated server maintenence on XI. That being said, This game is still being developed so this Is NOT a normal maintenece shut down, hense the word "Emergency". But if we want to put responsability on anyones shoulder for the need of this shut down at all, it all comes back to SE anyways. Granted I do belive they are working to make the game better, and I am sure they are working hard, however it dosen't take a rocket scientist to determain: half populated servers (with lag) -> Fully populated servers will = SEVERE LAG. the server upgrades should have been done prior to or durring the world mergers, (when they effectivly shut down all servers for all time zones for almost an entire day, shoulda just made it an entire day lmao)
