While I understand all that, maybe let the people make their own decisions? It comes off as actively hostile towards discussion when people just yell at you to unsub.not sure if telling someone to unsub is horrible or not actually.
I mean if you are that unhappy, if you feel that its never going to change.. and more importantly IF YOU FEEL THEY NO LONGER EARN YOUR MONEY... why give it to them?
I had spent years in WoW, I was unhappy with the leadership and the direction they were going in. when I realized I felt like they no longer earned my money, I left. it was a good mental experience and made me a lot happier, because WoW was a second job I was not being paid for. yes, most people are mired in the "sunk cost fallacy". getting past that is the best thing you can do for your mental health.
few games will ever return to their past, and if the game you are presently in is not something you enjoy, hoping for it to change back to what you loved years ago is like wishing for that pony at christmas... it is very very unlikely to happen. taking that step and spending your money elsewhere is the best thing to do for you. because a company is only going to happily take your money, no matter what the people who run the game say, the suits are the ones in charge and they dont give a damn about you.
It also comes across as actively hostile whenever anybody gets on the case for somebody even daring to like something about the game on these forums. Not aiming that at you, but you've seen the posters who I can refer to. Like something? Immediately ridiculed, badmouthed, etc.

I agree. I would never tell someone to unsub, I may question why they are still paying for a sub for something they hate, its their money they are wasting. its a personal choice.
I grew to hate playing WoW, but it still took me a while to make the choice to stop paying them. it was too long, and I will never go back no matter what they do. thats a personal experience lesson. if you really actually do care about the game, dont wait until its too late to leave. leave while you still have some good thoughts about the game, that way you can easily come back if it does indeed, one day change to your liking. otherwise all you are doing is wasting money you could spend somewhere else.
gaming is supposed to be entertainment, and mostly importantly fun.if its not that.. why stay? some people with the complaints I cannot see as having any fun recently, at all. staying is not healthy at that point. yes, its a personal choice, but sometimes you really do need to put the idea out there, and certainly in a nicer way than "just unsub" which is akin to "go die in a fire"
