Why telling people to unsub is a horrible defense of the game.

I love this game. It's by no means perfect. Guess what I do when I'm done having fun with it. I unsub. Now what do YOU do when you stop having fun with it? make angry forum posts? Which do you think SE cares more about? Do you really believe that they're sitting here taking notes on what people are upset about compared to looking at the number of subscriptions, why people unsub, when people unsub, etc?

Good for you, you don't get to dictate others do the same. Me and many others here are giving feedback and discussing issues with the game and you contribute precisely nothing, trying your hardest to stop all discussion by just yelling at people to unsub. Why exactly are you here? This forum is literally for feedback. People just quietly unsubbing isn't going to tell the devs what's wrong with the game. How many times do people need to post that same screenshot of Yoshida pointing out that criticism is worth twice a compliment before you finally get it?

I don't think she really cares if you unsub. It's just offering advice that we ourselves would follow. If you are unhappy with a game, may be time to move on rather than continue to give it money.

Giving feedback is fine and great. I doubt any devs read what goes on here though. But if they did they may like getting feedback on what's working and what isn't.

That said when someone gets to the point where a game is just a source of unhappiness and misery, time to move on. But if you don't, I'm fine with that too. More money for SE. Thank you for your service lol.

honestly? It's fun to chat with people that enjoy the same things, combined with the insanity that are these forums. I don't care if you unsub or not, it doesn't affect me in the slightest. If you honestly enjoying yelling into the void, have at it, different strokes and all that I guess.

This so much. It's like people have some obsessive compulsion to jump in every thread to parrot the same thing, yelling at people to unsub. It's none of your business when people feel the need to sub or unsub that's their own decision to make. People are allowed to voice their opinions, all you people are doing is stifle discussion and discourage leaving feedback.

I mean, not paying any more money or playing the game is feedback.

Look at WoW. Millions quit, so they're desperately implementing a lot of the feedback (that was ignored) during BFA/SL and rushing to add it into DF so that the next expansion will be a hit. As they said Dragonflight sub numbers are far lower than expected, but retention is higher. After the Overwatch 2 controversy and Diablo 4 looking like it'll be microtransaction filled and p2w (Players can just buy the Battle pass steps with $$ instead of playing the game), Blizzard has to double down hard in making WoW better as they cannot afford for the next expansion to be dismal.

If enough people are dissatisfied with FF14 and just stop playing/quit then the changes you want might happen. If not, then you lose nothing as you won't be playing/paying anymore.

It kinda is. You are literally stopping from spending anymore money to a game that you felt doesnt meet your standards.

Money absolutely talks and if more people like you actually put your money where your mouth is, then maybe you'll get what you want someday. Otherwise you're an annoying hypocrite for continuing to play this game if the majority of the time you spend on it is you hating on everything.
