Here's an update from me! My SE support ticket got a response saying "Currently we can assure you we are aware of the situation and are currently working to get this fixed. We appreciate your feedback." And they linked this thread. I'm still not happy about it, but at least I have in writing that they are working on it and not simply aware of it like in the tweet we got last week.

Fingers crossed that if we indeed get to day 8 of this, it is the last day. It's going to storm otherwise tomorrow.
