We are ALL fans of this game. Even the Negative Nannies that want to ruin your day, bash everything and call you stupid, say they are "Fans" of the game. The same way the people who have less to complain about and even White Knight or 'shill' it, are "Fans" of the game. We are all fans.
The amount of Defending, Rationalizing, hating, critiquing, arguing, expressing joy and love for this game....are all things, from "Fans"

And with how Passionate some of us get on Both Sides here.....that is nothing short of ""Fanatic""

Its honestly not that deep. Its very common, and everyone displays it in a Fandom, on some level.

Each and all parties possessing some dire need to reflect does not exactly retract from my point, regardless. If anything, it bolsters it yet further. I know what my flaws are, and I'm working on them. Either way, one has to wonder the precise reasoning for the invention of the shorthand.
