Yeah at this point all that I can do is grant his wish. There's absolutely nothing for me to do in FFXIV other than taking an hour to play through Pandaemonium once it releases because you couldn't pay me enough to tolerate whatever is going on with Zero and the accursed dragons in the MSQ.All in all, tbh, I see not much to do in 6.4. : (
And Yoshida saying we should play other games again and again freaks me out slowly.
I don't want to play other games just because the Devs don't take enough time for 14.
Other games are expenesive though. FF sub costs enough...
So congratulations to them. They have made so many bad decisions this expansion that as one of their long term fans that's been mostly subbed for the better part of the last decade, I will be taking an indefinite break after May 23rd. This isn't the outcome I wanted, but it's the outcome they deserve after stacking so many mistakes on top of each other.
You want me back? Start rebuilding my trust by making both a decent MMO and a decent RPG and then put it together. With the apparent loss in profits SE has suffered recently, FFXIV was the one ship they couldn't afford to let sink. I look forward to reading up on the state of their economics next year and seeing what an expansion's worth of content drought has done.
I wanted so desperately to be positive about the state of things. I wanted Endwalker to be the best of the expansions of Season 1, and instead this is where we are. All while I have to tolerate people who blast me for calling for a return to form. Not like they would bat an eye if things in Endwalker were more akin to how they were in the past - no one could possibly complain about having the wealth of content to do like in Stormblood or the coherence of any previous expansion prior to throwing in time travel and random anime plotlines at the last minute.

So the best bit of the live letter was that it means May 23rd we have peace from a major complainer? Yay! Who am I kidding we will get one more thread about how pandemonium went wrong etc etc. I wouldn’t bother looking into their economics next year because it will likely be 7.0 which will shoot it up more. Also I expect player retention to be higher from 6.4 and 6.5 and usually that’s when most come back due to the normal X.5 long haul gap before an expansion. If we don’t see this trend il be surprised but if we see the usual then sadly it doesn’t matter how much you dislike the direction it’s clearly doing well enough to keep the course.
I want changes but the way this forum has been lately has not been the way to get them, I swear if there are actual mods give them a mega thread to debate in and that will tidy up this forum section heavily.
Yeah, I agree with your point. Granted I wasn't expecting this live letter to change anything but a little nod would have been nice, such as, "We've been hearing people want more to the relic process and other systems and will be looking into that for future releases" would've been something.Yeah at this point all that I can do is grant his wish. I'm still waiting for Fan Fest. And regardless will get 7.0 because I support the graphics update. But I'm disenchanted for sure.
Bless! Let them insinuate anything they want when I've explained in my initial post that I don't agree with stuff! This is why the forums are ignored and should be burned.
On topic -
I think all we can do at this point is unsub, I mean the story was good ( For me ), but the content longevity is lacking this time around! I was very annoyed at SQ doing tomes 2x in a row for relics!
6.45 hasn't released yet tho, even though Yoshi has said stuff, it's not launched so no one knows what the next step is! Ppl are just working others up on this forum. Sad really.
At least you're not denying it...
Most players voice concerns/frustrations because they want to see a change. Not every poster is a troll nor should you label every poster as such. You can kinda filter them out just by reading. Like your lord and savior Naoki Yoshida said " The silent leave first ", unless that's your goal to silence players? power to you right.
All I want personally is my Kaiten back. Compared to what other players have been requesting? One button is not a lot, but also not the end of the world if I don't get it back. I personally had a lot more fun with it. Emphasis on " Personally ". Rather people resonate is irrelevant to me. Though I'm having a laugh meme-ing it a little.
Accusing others of hyperbolic hearsay without tackling the argument points or posts is quite dismissive. Hence it comes off as you just sucking off a Square i.e being a white knight. Or a company simp. Can I even say simp? ehh we'll find out. How did you put it... " Case and Point? ".
It was a stupid wish to expect acknowledgement in that regards because the patch work is done ages ago… you wouldn’t announce anything here. You would announce it at a fanfest or in interviews outside of it but to expect your issues to be addressed knowing this wasn’t going to happen just gave them a dumb reason to continue venting even though after ALL THESE YEARS knowing how they operate expected something out of the norm? I don't think it's stupid for people in charge to acknowledge its customer base. If you read the statement you quoted correctly this doesn't mean they need to change actions now, it means it's something they will keep in mind. It's a live letter. You make it sounds like they recorded Yoshi P ages ago and just released the video. It was a stupid wish to expect acknowledgement in that regards because the patch work is done ages ago… you wouldn’t announce anything here.
