...... Shatter was the only Frontlines map I completely liked.........
DivineP,
I can understand your feelings all too well but I think you should let this one go because anything you say is going to be used against you. At this point, I just read it and scroll down to the next post. But I can understand that everybody has a their own picture of what how they want to their FF to be. Yes, you can be like CelestiCer wanted Kaiten back (btw you are a good SAM.....), Stormpeaks with whatever the heck they want or even Aveyond with his all of his demands and these forums was created to voice their opinions about it and we should respect them on their views about this game but in kind, they have to do the same as well. Believe me, even know that this game is fallen off alittle bit, we are fortunate and lucky to even get to 6.4 after all. Most of us didn't even know if we will get to 3.0 during those days.
This live letter was okay, fixed a few thing and made newer glam that I can get but I think the next expansion is going to be the barometer for the next couple of years and we dont have to wait that long to find out.

I see that SE's tactic of radio silence and ignoring feedback worked well. Now people are so uneducated that they forgot that Kaiten was just biggest outlier in the neutering of SAM.
I guess I'm sorry for calling it "Kaiten removal" instead of more descriptive "Kaiten removal which caused Iaijutsu potency changes, and additional unwarranted changes to weaponskills, more specifically increasing potency of basic weaponskills, while nerfing potency of bigger hits, which SAM used to be known for, resulting in overall flattening of SAM's damage output, compared to high burst damage, and low damage segments meant for building resources, which caused the whole class fantasy to break apart overnight, while changing Tenka Goken and Kaeshi: Goken from conal AoE to circular AoE, which changed dynamic positioning in multi-target situations, to just merely standing in the middle of the enemies and spamming 1-2, 1-3, tenka and Kyuten, all the while implementing the hated guaranteed critical hits on 4 abilities, and that was before 6.3 guarateed hit compensation, meaning that for 9 months, SAM was benefitting the least from whole critical hit stat".
Up to you which rolls of the tongue better.
EDIT: Completely forgot to mention the Shinten spam and problem with Kenki utilized only by it, while we still generate same amount as we did with Kaiten, meaning that APM is still the same

I suspect this is the main issue people have with the relic grind. Not the fact it is a currency grind, but that the ONLY currency to grind is tomestones.
I still have Ulan's Note from the Anima quests, and you can see all the different ways to get Crystal Sand. Was every method equally easy/time consuming? No, but you had a choice in what you wanted to collect to trade in.
I can almost guarantee, noone would have as much of an issue if you could get the items via Bi-Colour gemstones, or use up beast tribe currency etc.
Complaints about the removal of Kaiten are legitimate given how boring the job feels without its inclusion.
I suppose they do not really see as much outrage against the idea to warrant that. I can kinda see why Yoshi is doing this, making relics something you can do on the side playing other stuff… but yeah I really wish they at least tied it more into EW stuff and made it more intractable.
Even in the comments section on the Zepla video not many people seemed to care about this being the apporach, many welcoming the break from having another grind. For some doing Hildebrand from scratch was enough of a grind as is.I suppose they do not really see as much outrage against the idea to warrant that. I can kinda see why Yoshi is doing this, making relics something you can do on the side playing other stuff… but yeah I really wish they at least tied it more into EW stuff and made it more intractable.
