is FFXIV even considered a RPG when all the RPG elements are like gone from the game? it's more of a dress up, second life, night club social game like IMVU

Modern XI is trash though... You haven't experienced true XI till you played in the CoP/ToAU era. Even then though, I wouldn't call XI's combat "deep" when all you do is stare at the screen watching auto attacks 90% of the time. Do people even do magic bursts anymore? That entire design died during the games peak as spamming TP burn parties were way more effective (my LS could down Kirin in 30 seconds. It was kind of stupid)
