What happened in the last week to make people so vocally against the current state?

There could literally be 5 players left in the game and you'd still be able to find those 5 people for content, that doesnt mean the game is alive

Is it an exageration ? Absolutely but it just shows how stupid your point is, you also play on Crystal so of course you'll have people for content all the time, it's the only NA datacenter alive for content.

That's honestly what I been wondering, so many posters claiming how amazingly perfect the game is and yet they go to the forums. Like shouldn't you just never be at the forums if the game is perfect and play when you can play? Maybe it's like Game+ they aim to make it Perfect+ which is when everyone has the same opinion about the game that it is indeed flawless and it cannot be improved in any way shape or form, mhm.

Don't claim the games flawless but I do think it's a good game, sadly I have the thing called a career and it requires me to go to work. Not only work all the 10 hours I'm here but I do have to be here 10 hours so while I'm wasting time waiting to do my next part of my job I am on the forums because well I couldn't be on my PC at home sadly.

as one of the Crystal "bums" who avoids Limsa at all costs, was just curious. We do seem to have a larger population than some thats for sure.

Given how slowly some people seem to make their way through the game maybe it actually isn't all that surprising that they vastly overestimate how long it takes to create a forum post.

Perhaps it is, but it's far from your place to call it out. Doubly so when one considers your usual cadence and tone. When you're constantly calling people you disagree with bitter and disenfranchised doomers, is it any wonder people completely uninvolved eventually get fed up with it? That's a far more likely prospect of why Lunaxia is posting after you.



Ah, well. I suppose I have no proof, it just felt like a narrative was being constructed by a few posters here whose conduct rather rubs me the wrong way. If I'm proven wrong, I'm perfectly willing to recant mind.

They're not the only ones who feel like there's not enough content they want to do. But most MMO veterans who are rapid or picky content consumers understand that's the nature of MMOs and aren't bothered by it. They do what they're interested in then go play other games until the next content release. They don't run to the forums with "game is dying".

The vocal ones here in the forums seem to fall into mainly one of two camps: the ones who say the game has been trash for years (and yet continue to pay money for the trash game). It's hard to see those as anything but trolls but it's possible they're suffering from a gaming addiction and can't let go.

Then there are the ones who say the problem is only with Endwalker. If someone was spending all their time in Eureka and Bozja last expansion and dislike Deep Dungeons/Variant-Criterion dungeons, I can understand why they feel like there's not enough content they are personally interested in.

The claims of less overall content are false. We've been getting just as much content but the type of content or format (ie the trials not being a separate series but instead part of the MSQ) has changed in some cases. It's not a sign of a game in decline.

Some may be the feeling the change of pace to the story. We had been warned that was going to happen at the 2021 Announcement Showcase before Endwalker was released. We were told that with the Hydaelyn/Zodiark story being concluded in 6.0 instead of 6.3, the 6.x story was going to be more of a filler before the new main story arc for 7.0 was introduced in 6.55. Again, not a sign of a game in decline. It's just the result of the transition we were warned would be coming since 7.0 is presumably also going to introduce the promised new starting point for new characters.

Perhaps these people don't take to change easily and that's why all the doom and gloom. It's still gotten to be over the top, bitter, sarcastic, etc. and most of all annoying. There's no constructive discussion coming from it, just a lot of insults and ridicule of those who aren't seeing a problem.

Except I dont pretend the game is THAT amazing and that there is SO much content in the game, I enjoy housing and hanging out with friends, so I have more than enough time for the forums

That's literally the point, if you played this game for a while, there is nothing left to do because 95% of the game is old outdated content, and no, sorry not sorry, roulettes are not content, it's the same boring thing in which you end up with 2 or 3 spells because its a low level dungeon or raid, because oh my god the entertainment of using 2 spells in a dungeon or raid, how fun

Actually, doing some queue times to try and see how hard it is to queue for 24 mans, it is an incredibly long wait to get into copied factory most of the time on crystal. The queue times have been something like 25+ minutes on a DPS and that is with a special event going at the same time.

As this MMO ages things are going to get really hard to run under the current design, including savage eventually when that population burns out (and it has been burning out pretty badly going into the tail end of tier 2). Hollow Earth going into full swing with this MMO just like it did with WoW most likely.
